Never ask "How are you?" Behavioral researcher Vanessa Van Edwards (@vvanedwards) tested the most common conversation starters. It came in dead last. It's a script. They already know their line. "Good, but busy." Ask what everyone asks, and the brain checks out. You can't connect with someone on autopilot.

Throw the best 4th of July party on the block. We asked three experts who take parties seriously. • The song: a platinum DJ says "Titanium." • The drinks: an international wine expert says the Mare di Sirena Pinot Grigio. • Your presence: a behavioral researcher says show your hands.

Julie Fragnito, parenting coach, says it was never about having it all figured out. You don't need perfect circumstances. You need to want them so badly you're willing to do the hard work of raising them well.

Jill Wintersteen, astrology and manifestation, ignores the spreadsheet. Your children are already choosing you right now, whether you feel ready or not. The real question isn't financial. Does the thought of having kids expand you or contract you?

Twenty-five years ago, Elon Musk recruited a Stanford grad student to run PayPal's finances. @roelofbotha took Paypal public at 28, then spent two decades backing the companies that built the modern internet: YouTube, Instagram, Square. Days after the largest IPO in history, he joined Elon again on the board of SpaceX. Now you can put him on yours: Roelof's Delphi is live, so one of tech's sharpest minds can sit on your personal board of advisers anytime. Check the link below to ask him anything

How do you age well? We asked a functional medicine doctor, a Harvard psychologist, a longevity scientist, an NBA guard, and a sex educator. Not one of them gave the same answer.

In 1999, a Harvard law professor saw that the internet could be built to control us. He said it in three words: "Code is law." @lessig meant that whoever writes the code writes the rules for speech, for privacy, for how we live online. A generation later, it's the operating principle of the entire internet. The brightest minds don't just answer questions. They saw them coming. Now you can ask Lawrence yours. Link below.

Exciting piece this weekend from The New York Times covering the Delphis of @lennysan, @AlisaCohn, and @bussgang. A product leader, an executive coach, and a Harvard professor, each with a Delphi that answers questions, coaches, and teaches in their own voice, at scale. Learning from the best used to require a steep fee, a long waitlist, or an invitation into the right room. Now anyone can learn directly from the top experts in any field.
