@mkobach The stock has been floating between $24 and $35 for a while. This makes Figma worth $12+ billion dollars. Adobe market cap sits at 100 now, comes from over 140. When they start announcing the Q2 and Q3 profits, stock will rebound. Going down for stupid reasons now, like Stitch.

Figma employees got hit with the worst 1-2 timing punch ever. Should have had a huge acquisition exit from Adode, but then the global regulatory environment killed that deal. So they go public and hit a market cap 3x of the acquisition price, and everything looks up. Then AI makes massive strides in the 6-month post IPO lockup period and the stock drops -80%.

In terms of capabilities it blows the competition out of the water. It's fairly ugly right now but has soo many features. Also at least double as fast as main competitor. autodocs.obra.studio

I’m def biased here but i think we need better benchmarks for design ai tools And also I think designers need to know what tools can help get work done the *fastest* vs. perceived novelty

@shadcn Ah wait, charts are all in a single color still. What I mean by categorical = how it used to be. This makes more sense for most charts than a single color. But single color is more pretty hehe

@shadcn Great update! Charts should default to categorical colors imo. This makes it possible. And headings differentiated from body is simple but great.

Two updates to presets. Font Heading lets you set a custom heading font. Chart Color lets you set a different color palette for your charts. More customization. One preset code.

@colmtuite @paper Yeah sorry but those shaders have been promoted for a year now, anyone can go into Claude and create a shader (and have more freedom actually) . Its not a unique feature. If Paper wants go break through they will need to do more. Certain parts feel really good and have potential

Paper just helped @stripe explore visuals for their annual letter launch. We used image tools, filters, and the new Halftone CMYK shader. Stripe is how Paper is available around the world. Glad we could bring this story to life for them.

this is one of the best results (fluo icons on purpose). But that's from last session. Nothing gained from trying OpenAI or Huggingface OCR models.

Went down a rabbit hole which didn't go anywhere, but it could have been for Obra Build It: 1. Use another agent - latest codex. No meaningful difference. 2. Have agent handle OCR. Way too slow. (1/2)
