Anyone else deal with dryness or spiritual desolation for years? Like you're doing everything out of obedience or logic but feel very little or no consolations in the process? Makes attending Sunday Mass super difficult. I still go but the temptation to skip is immense.

I'm pleased to reveal my highest resolution photo of the complete SLS in flight, captured entirely using sound-activated triggers from cameras placed near the pad. Thanks to the technique used the image is ~300 megapixels! A ridiculously hard shot to get, but worth the effort.

@KeenanPeachy Regularly attending church is for old people and women.There is no reason any young person or a working age men should spend his time in a church outside holidays or special events like weddings this has been the way Christianity has functioned in europe for centuries

I went to mass here twice last summer. The priest was a 90 year old Indian man. The average age of the parishioners was 70+ and there were two dozen of them, tops. The only people under 40 were our five children, there were no families and no other kids in attendance.

Non-Denoms are now the largest Protestant "denom". The Reformation ended in a joke.

Having been baptised in the Catholic church aged 3 months, the priest told me I have just been away. The priest also told me my baptism was indelible. I am on the path to returning to Catholicism. I am coming home. 😊

@Xtopher_Uzo @gonefishin1948 Any Christian faith believes in the trinity. There is no issue leading with this. I always sandwich my prayers with these when leading in the student society.

You are a Catholic, you are in a public gathering, they asked you to lead the prayer and you cannot start by saying "In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit" because you don't want to offend the penticostals brethren around you. Can't you see your problem? Tell me what exactly is wrong with starting your prayers with "In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit" Do they, the protestants, not believe in the Holy Trinity? Some of you "Catholics" are just weak, too weak. 🤣😂 The same protestants you are trying so hard not to offend will spare no breathe to tell you that you are all idol worshippers.😂😂

@poperespecter1 If I had grown up Catholic, the call might have been there. Now I'm too old with too many children. But I will pray for the spirit to move in the U.S.

The biggest thing that worries me about all the Catholic growth is the lack of priests. Young men, is God calling you?

Five years ago I was telling people: "There are going to be mass conversions to Catholicism in the next several decades," and people said I was out of my mind. Now we have many dioceses that have more than doubled the number of converts they received last year. Some are up as high as 150% year-over-year. The pattern is consistent and it is global: people are coming back to the Catholic Church in stunningly high numbers. Why? Because every other structure for making sense of the world has FAILED in the West. Mainline Protestantism went liberal and entered a death spiral. Evangelical Protestantism is fractionalized into thousands of incoherent and conflicting denominations. Modern secular liberalism has offered an utterly barren materialist philosophy of life and its purpose, has worked to de-sacralize life and promote nihilism -- and has ultimately been the handmaiden of neoliberal capitalism and the confusing miasma of a "post-truth" world. Eastern Orthodoxy remains disunified, doctrinally confused, and unable to convene an ecumenical council for the last 1200 years. New Age and Eastern faiths remain obscure and vague. What remains? The Catholic Church remains. It's the only institution still in existence that has retained a coherent moral theology, a sound and well-reasoned doctrine, and a definite claim to Apostolic authority. It's teachings are consistent and clearly congruent with a functional Church that really does "make disciples of all nations." Its sacramental theology honors the actual teachings of Christ. But most of all: the Catholic Church is not "making it up as it goes along." Expect more of this. We are just getting started with a revival that is going to completely alter the course of the twenty-first century.
