Most golf courses use their own water. Pump houses next to ponds and lakes aren’t there for looks, turbo. Many others are in flood plains and the land cannot be used for anything else. Golf courses don’t hire infinity foreign nationals who crowd schools, overwhelm infrastructure, or spy for our enemies. Golf courses don’t jack up power rates, and they also don’t scale resource-wise. Many are public and have great trails. They’re beautiful and the opposite of a soulless, concrete eyesore. They make land values instantly go up, because everyone loves having them nearby.

I have a great deal of respect for Gregg, but debating the size of the court isn’t a threat to the Constitutional order. Court size falls under congressional purview. In fact the Republicans changed court size twice in reaction to the Andrew Johnson administration. Prior to that, the court size changed due to country (and district) expansion — a legitimate recommendation Khanna is floating. That said, limiting specific terms likely requires a constitutional amendment which is unlikely.

What they're frustrated about is that they have no influence now. They thought their platforms were portable. They thought Twitter was wherever they were, that the discourse was happening wherever they were posting, and that they were the main attraction, and it turned out that their influence was all fake and algorithm driven, and that when they left, most of their audience didn't even notice that their content had vanished from the feed because they were too busy watching the AI videos where the strawberry lady cheats on her husband with the banana.
