@cremieuxrecueil @DrNeilStone I remember reading this LSD psychotheraphy book by Stanislav Grof when I was like 16 and thinking it might be the answer to my mental ills. Good to see this being investigated again.

@DrNeilStone It could be legit, but no one actually knows and the studies are complete garbage right now. The one they gave Trump about depression, for example, had no control group, just a bunch of self-selected guys getting high.

Honestly I don't know anything about psychdelics and ibogaine treatments. Is this legit or is this more quackery from RFK Jr??
Secretary Kennedy@SecKennedy

Thank you, @joerogan, for helping bring national attention to these potentially life-saving treatments for veterans and others living with mental illness, and for pushing this conversation into the mainstream.

@RichardHanania @AndrewZywiecMD @grok As Grok shows, 60 percent of babies adopted by lesbians are girls, so this is just a preference. Two guys getting their first baby are obviously going to think "this is scary, lets get a guy since that'll be more familiar to us"

Gay male couples adopt boys at massively higher rates: 81.8% boys in one study (vs ~50% for hetero couples). Preferences and outcomes show clear skew to boys. Gay adoption isn't 'love,' it's child abuse that exposes kids to environments with elevated sexual abuse risk. Ban it.

@cremieuxrecueil Well I haven't needed to take it yet. But I assumed I was only because I felt nauseous on it once as a kid.

This is being generous by using a weak criteria, too. In fact, most people's 'allergies' are not real. Consider penicillin: one of the most commonly noted medicine allergies out there. When you actually test people who think they're allergic, almost none of them are!

Crémieux@cremieuxrecueil

The number of such people with confirmable food allergies was... About 3%. There's a huge gap between what people think they're allergic to and what they're actually allergic to.

The Industrial Revolution would not have happened if it had begun amid our current institutions, political economy, and level of regulation/procedural roadblocks aka “democratic input.” This is among the starkest challenges facing Western society today, though uncouth to discuss.

I hope this is not an accurate summary of the evidence so far. If so, there's basically nothing to the case that social media hurts kids. The best evidence seems to be non-robust studies and data that's analyzed in uninformative ways. Were we all lied to about it being harmful?

The thing that Hanania doesn’t understand is that I view his “instinctual fascism,” his rejection of fascism on the basis of his towering intellect, and his unabashed snobbery and elitism all as manifestations of his obvious psychopathy.
Richard Hanania@RichardHanania

Yes, if I were dumber, I'd accept worse arguments like postliberalism, neo-fascism, nativism, etc. He just keeps misunderstanding. This isn't that complicated! x.com/DavidAstinWals…

Bibi has been fruitlessly begging US admins to bomb Iran and unleash the animal spirits of regime change for decades, like some shitty startup striking out with traditional VCs, over and over again — and like the savvy CEO of a shitty startup idea, he finally found a dumb-money septuagenarian family office to fork over a huge check. Genuinely embarrassing shit.

@Noahpinion It just doesn’t anger me that they have used our alliance towards their own ends. Zionism is one of the coolest things a group of people have ever pulled off, and antisemitism remains almost a human universal. So fuck it, good for you Bibi.

Got blood work without seeing a doctor. Ordered online in 3 minutes, got my script right away. Picked a time and went to my local lab. Results landed in my email the next day. Really easy. Just order, go to the lab, get results. Try it: privatemdlabs.com/?refid=uUDot9D…

@LinkofSunshine .. and negative polarization also means gridlock, so no party can accomplish much, and voters are always disappointed, instead of being loyal.

@LinkofSunshine Tons of wrong answers. One correct answer is negative polarization. When voters are mainly motivated by hatred of the other side, and most people don’t like either party much, voters will constantly vote in a “okay let’s try the other option” way…
