The NBA created a 65 game minimum for postseason awards, then turned around and bent the rules for Luka and Cade so they could both make 1st Team All-NBA.
If the league isn’t going to enforce its own standards, then get rid of the rule altogether.
As a Celtics fan, watching Jaylen Brown lose out on 1st Team because the NBA moved the goalposts is ridiculous.

Hey everybody, I did not think it was possible for the slush fund situation to get any more corrupt but it has. I wanna share the latest and I wanna ask for your help urgently. I'm Liz Oyer former pardon attorney for the Department of Justice . So right now, Todd Blanche the acting Attorney General is up on Capitol Hill for a private meeting with Republican senators. Democrats were not invited to this meeting. Blanche is trying to persuade Republicans not to block the $1.8 billion/fund. Congress clearly has the power to block it and some Republicans have said that they are considering it so Blanche is up on the hill today trying to shore up support among Republican senators and here's how he's trying to do it. Essentially he is trying to bribe them in advance of the meeting. Blanche sent Republican senators this one page overview of the slush fund . There's a lot of nonsense in here, but there's one really important thing that I wanna focus on it explicitly says that senators are eligible to bring claims under this fund. In fact it specifically lists senators whose records were secretly subpoenaed as one category of victims who are entitled to financial compensation from this font that would include Lyndsay, Graeme, Josh Hawley , Ted Cruz, and a number of other senators whose phone records were reviewed by the FBI as part of the January 6 special counsel investigation now with the settlement documents that created the fund do not say anything about payments to members of Congress, but Blanche has decided to cut them in on the deal in exchange for their support. You don't have to connect a lot of dots to read this as a bribe. Blanche is letting Republicans know that if they allow the slush fund to stand, they will get paid. This is just sickening levels of corruption and collusion If this moves forward, it would spell the collapse of the constitutional order that our country is built on. Here's what I'm asking you to do. Please spread the word widely and then please call your senators. Tell them that if they take a dime from this fund, they are betraying their oath to support and defend the constitution .Tell them to do their jobs and shut down this corrupt fund. Tell them this is urgent for the survival of our constitutional democracy. Thanks.

There were plenty of people who told me to put Rocky out of his misery. To let him go. It was cruel on him to keep him suffering.
I even doubted my own decision to fight for his life at times. He just seemed so bad. The blood results and his general eyesight and functions were in such poor shape I worried I might be keeping him alive more out of false hope and for my own dreams. Luckily Rocky had other ideas too. He very much wanted to live and I could see the from day 1.
His eyesight if partially back and improving by the day. His bloods are getting better. He is packing on the pounds. Most of all Rocky feels loved and safe and he has lots of dog and human friends now. He belongs.
He sprinted into that water today and me and him forgot about all the hard days and the tough worrying nights.
He really is a very very special dog ❤️

Abraham Lincoln got shot in the head and still managed to keep the country together. Franklin Roosevelt ran the entire Second World War from a wheelchair. Eisenhower defeated Hitler and then, just to stay busy, built 48,000 miles of motorway. Kennedy looked at the moon, said “we’ll have that,” and inside a decade they did. Reagan stared down the Soviet Union until it simply gave up and went home.
Two hundred and fifty years. Forty-six men. Men who stormed beaches, split atoms, faced down nuclear annihilation over breakfast and then filed sensible paperwork about it afterward.
And then, after all of that, the entire accumulated weight of American history, the most consequential democratic experiment the world has ever seen, produced this.
A television review.
No Mars landing. No cure for cancer. No Soviet empire dissolved before lunch. Just a man in the White House, in the year 2026, informing the internet that a CBS chat show host had no talent.
That is what 250 years of American greatness built. America should be deeply, permanently ashamed of itself.

More than 140 officers were injured defending the Capitol on January 6th.
They waited six years for the plaque in their honor to be hung in the Capitol.
They watched as Donald Trump pardoned every single one of their assailants.
Some of them can no longer work and cannot even get disability benefits.
But Donald Trump has set aside nearly $2 BILLION of your taxpayer money to pay the criminals who assaulted them.
It’s a punch in the face to every police officer in this country who puts his or her life on the line to protect us.
I support Officers Daniel Hodges and Harry Dunn in their lawsuit to stop this outrageous scheme.

To their credit, the Founding Fathers always knew a king-like tyrant would one day try to rule as personal dictator and use the powers of the presidency to live above the law. They introduced checks and balances.
But they never foresaw a second branch of government abdicating oath in favor of complicity and grift. And they certainly never foresaw algorithmic media or a citizenry so manipulated by obvious deceit.

This New York Times piece is worth your time. Here’s what is happening, as simply as I can put it.
Back in January, Trump sued the IRS, an agency he controls, demanding $10 billion over the leak of his tax returns a number of years ago.
IRS lawyers did their jobs. They wrote a memo laying out the defenses that could beat the suit, including the fact that Trump filed too late. His own lawyer was in court when the leaker pleaded guilty in October 2023, more than two years before Trump sued.
The Justice Department never showed up to court. Never argued back. Never used the defenses sitting on their desk.
The judge got suspicious and ordered both sides to explain whether they were actually opposing each other or just colluding. The day before that brief was due, Trump dropped the suit.
Same day, his Justice Department announced a $1.776 billion taxpayer-funded “anti-weaponization fund.”
Trump gets a formal apology. The IRS agrees to drop any audits of him and his family, even though a 2024 Times report found a loss in an ongoing audit could cost him over $100 million.
The acting Attorney General, Trump’s former criminal defense attorney, picks the five commissioners who decide who gets paid. Trump can fire any of them. Proud Boys and Oath Keepers are not ruled out.
This is the most corrupt thing I’ve ever seen from an American president.
Where in the hell are my Republican colleagues?

BREAKING:
Harry Dunn and Daniel Hodges, two law enforcement officers who clashed with Jan. 6 insurrectionists, have sued to block the Trump 'slush fund'.
They're asking a federal judge to find the creation of the fund illegal and reverse any transfers that the Treasury Department has made to the DOJ to implement it.
