I think the way to look at it, Bret Hart was the greatest in-ring performer for the traditional wrestling style while Shawn was the greatest in-ring performer of the modern style. They just happened to meet at the same time. Bret could do modern stuff but he was traditional first. Shawn could do traditional stuff but he was modern first. As far as in ring wrestling skill goes, theyre the two best examples of how to do it.
