Composer 2 marks the one-year anniversary of our large model training efforts. Since then, we've built an exceptionally talent-dense team of ~40 people with some of the best researchers and engineers from the labs, academia, industry, and more heterogeneous backgrounds. And we are exclusively focused on coding. We don't care about models that can respond to emails, do your tax returns, or be your friend. Every FLOP, token, parameter, and researcher is entirely dedicated to software engineering.
Cursor@cursor_ai

Composer 2 is now available in Cursor.

@theo It’s great they are trying new ideas! However @cursor_ai strength with the vscode based UI is that it addresses a common product adoption problem of “crossing the chasm” TUIs are too big of a leap for many in the early & late majority. Would be interested in @leerob take.

Fwiw, I think everyone is going to do this now. It’s a much better UI for the “new way of coding”. Cursor’s main UI has been in a rough state for like a year now. I really like that they are resetting. Overdue tbh. Also really like that they support ACP, might have T3 Code support in near future? 👀👀 (Composer 2 is really good, don’t sleep on Cursor) (Also insert obligatory *I’m an early investor with early access* bias accountability)

Cursor just dropped a T3 Code clone
am.will@LLMJunky

Nice. @cursor_ai just dropped their new "Glass" alpha, and they're leaning heavily into the simplified coding GUI trend that's been blowing up lately. First impressions are really positive. And just look at how insanely fast Composer 2 is. First impressions? Drop yours 👇

@xWayfinder @rob_mcrobberson I don’t think they should be able to profit significantly by holding real estate at scale that appreciates in value. I doubt that was why they were given the concessions that enabled them to acquire it in the first place. There is no one specific to be mad at.

During a housing crisis this house has sat empty for maybe a year now. It is owned and maintained by the church. This tells me everything I need to know about church and religion.

If you think 5% are what’s causing the housing problem you are out of your mind and the only conclusion I can draw from that is you just hate these people - just be honest - you hate them and don’t belive they add any value to society and you don’t think they deserve to have anything.

@xWayfinder @rob_mcrobberson Obtaining property because of advantages that they have and others don’t is worse, especially when the result is situations like this.

@xWayfinder @rob_mcrobberson That doesn’t justify them keeping the property unoccupied while people go homeless. At least the state has resources. You claim the church doesn’t, so they should give it up. I also said give it to ANYONE who has the resources. I don’t care who it is. Disgraceful.

@loftwah @rob_mcrobberson Historically statist hate Christians more than anyone. The state caused this mess, you think the same corruption that caused it will fix it… your faith in the government is more blind than any religious person I’ve ever met.

@xWayfinder @rob_mcrobberson It isn’t a win for anyone. It is putrid and they should be returned to the state or to anyone with capacity to get them to a point where they’re not sitting unoccupied. Is there a good reason to hold them?

@rob_mcrobberson @xWayfinder “Churches own ~5% of vacant dwellings per AHURI studies, fueling debates on tax-exempt entities contributing to over 300,000 empty homes amid 1.2 million on waitlists.” Would have to double check for accuracy but yikes.

@RobbiePasquale Hahahaha yep they are gross - you just gotta hold your nose if they are going to give you those credits for next to nothing - some of them want like 20% our business for the credits so avoid those.

@RobbiePasquale If you can get into a startup accelerator they will have stuff like that. I don’t have those credits but I’ve met and worked in start ups that do.

@xWayfinder Maybe, but given the crisis and what I see every day, it’s hard to give them the benefit of the doubt. The land’s been sitting there like this for years.

Churches run off congregational donations and for many churches in the past 50 years attendance has sharply declined, it was probably purchased decades ago for the minister’s family who usually never end up owning a home because they get paid very little - if the church aren’t renting it out as a source of income then it’s likely got issues they can’t afford to fix and are most likely saving up to fix. Of course I’m speculating maybe there is a greedy motivation behind it all and it’s crazy rich mega church preaching the prosperity gospel (rich equals righteous) however I’d err on the benifit of the doubt and assume the former scenario.

@loftwah I can tell you from experience most church’s are barely making ends meet if they own a property it’s probably was vicarage that has become run down and needs repairs. Lately it seems like you are looking for reasons to hate Christians.
