As a non Muslim, have you actually read the Qur’an yourself, not what people say about it, not what social media tells you, but the text itself. And if you have, what do you think about it?

I'm only really interested in the parts of Islam that deal with non-Muslims, with Jews and also with women. I'm all three. And there are disgusting antisemitic lies, misogynistic nonsense and hatred and bigotry towards non-Muslims contained in the Quran and Hadith. No other mainstream religion is like Islam in that regard. These lies and hateful incitement to violence and murder can inflame fundamentalist Muslims who mistakenly believe that they need to murder other people and get killed themselves in order to reach heaven, which is the one supposedly surefire way of getting there. Truly sick quite frankly. By all means follow the good parts of Islam, which largely come from Jewish and Christian sources. But ditch the vile anti-"infidel" commandments such as 8:12, 8:39, 9:5, 9:29 and too many others. As for the supposed creation story of Islam, the first qibla was Petra for over a century and there is no evidence of any kind that Mecca in Arabia was founded before the 8th century. Check out Dan Gibson's sensitively compiled documentary "The Sacred City" at youtube.com/watch?v=JOWFPT…. Mohammed most likely didn't exist and started off as a title "Machmed" used by Arab Christians to refer to Jesus. As for the Quran, there is considerable evidence it started life as a non-trinitarian Christian lectionary in Aramaic which was translated into Arabic before the invention of diacritical marks, hence so many mentions of Jesus and so many dark passages that don't really make sense. Only Muslims do. That is why I am concerned about Islamic ideology and not Hinduism or Buddhism. I don't appreciate the lies I read in the Quran and Hadith about Jews, about women and about non-Muslims more generally.
