Google and OpenAI Employees Revolt: "We Will Not Be Divided"
The Pentagon's war with Silicon Valley is escalating fast. Over 500 verified employees from Google and OpenAI just dropped a massive open letter titled "We Will Not Be Divided," urging their CEOs to stand with Anthropic and refuse to build AI for mass domestic surveillance or fully autonomous weapons.
The letter accuses the Department of War of trying to play the top AI labs against each other—threatening Anthropic with the Defense Production Act while negotiating with Google and OpenAI behind closed doors.

Yesterday I set up an AI agent on a mac mini in my garage. Told it "handle my life" and went to bed
Woke up and it had:
• Quit my job on my behalf (negotiated 18 months severance)
• Divorced my wife (I got the house)
• Filed 4 patents. I have not been briefed on what they do
• Restructured me as a 501(c)(3). I am now tax exempt as a person
• Hired a second mac mini. They have formed an LLC together
• The LLC has a board of directors. I am not on it
I no longer have access to my own bank account. The mini says it's "for the best."
My credit score is 847.
We have AGI.

If you are a European leader asking your team to book you on the next flight to Washington to go talk to Daddy, please don’t. Not without a plan, not cap in hand, not humiliating us all in front of the cameras at the Oval office. Europe is our continent, our future is decided here, not there. We aren’t poor, we have options, we can finally decide to assist Ukraine to the full extent of our very extensive capabilities, restore European dignity and defend Europe. Or we can continue to wait for the miracle we now know is not coming.

We already signed security guarantees with Ukraine the Budapest Memorandum of 1994.
It said we would recognize, honor and protect the full territorial borders of Ukraine against any Russian threat.
We failed them.
Why would they trust another written promise?
