What “conversion therapy” used to mean was electroshocking someone until they’re not gay anymore. What they call “conversion therapy” today is anything that isn’t immediately “affirming” a child who says they’re the opposite sex. If a child claims to be trans and you try to get them therapy, or God forbid question that and try to explore other causes, that is now considered “conversion therapy”. Laws prohibiting this are nothing but a one-way ticket to medicalizing children. They deliberately call it “LGBTQ” (letters which have absolutely nothing in common, and are often in direct conflict with one another) to hide behind the past medical abuses towards homosexuals. People are sympathetic to that. Forced teaming a completely unrelated issue with it is the only way they could EVER get support for something as abhorrent as “trans kids”. This insanity can’t stand on its own merit. But the gaslighting is no longer working. Getting a gender confused child help and therapy is a GOOD thing and should be the norm. It’s not conversion therapy, it’s called acting like the adult in the situation! There is no greater evil than coercing a child into believing they’re something they’re not, solely because the adult has a particular ideology. Let kids be kids!

Consider incorporating the idea that “gay” is not only the result of abuse but that, depending on the character makeup of the child, even talking about “people being gay,” or even defining the term for them is enough to destabilize their formative social categories. I think that for a highly Open child, the mere discussion of the topic can cause the misappropriation of hormonal urges etc. By the way, I would extend this claim & say that any discussion of sex with children, even in an “educational” context, probably has this effect of destabilizing social categories among the highly Open character types - the creatives & learners of a given generation. No one is more suprised than I am to have come to the view that homosexuality is usually the result of childhood abuse and neglect. No one is more shocked than I am at myself to be the one to say that gays should not be adopting children. For those who "hate" my online persona now that I've said that, contemplate something. I was YOU. I was that radical gay activist. The party boy. The political agitator. The "born this way" gay. I was you. I believed what you did. I agitated as you agitate. I called people like me "psychiatrically ill, dangerous bigots," just as you now see me. I know. Yet, I believe that I'm seeing the truth and saying the truth. You may find people like me irritating or angering, but your pique doesn't hold a candle to how difficult it is to be a person like me, with my past, and have to accept the unpleasant truth later in life. All that is to say that, if I can accept this, if I can accept that almost everything I clung to to make myself feel worthy of love and respect, everything I thought made me a "good person", that all of that was wrong, if I can accept that I actually did harm in my former political activities. . . . then YOU can change your mind too. Many of you won't. But at least a few of you reading this will breathe a sigh of relief and realize you're not the only one, and you're not a bad person for seeing that the truth is not what you wanted it to be. The truth matters more to me now than any preferences I have, any heartaches that reality causes me. And it causes me plenty. It's OK to change your mind. It's OK to ask questions. This is correct. The outcome of the War in Iran is not yet decided. It has the potential to consolidate American power for the next decade or more, or to destroy the Pax Americana and reshape the global order.
