Something seems to have changed in Twitter. Last Wednesday I got my first "you have notifications" email since 2018, which is a nice fix!

Testing a RP2040 PMOD...🤷‍♂️: - Move the CPU of your SoC to a PMOD and easily create MicroPython/CircuitPython based systems. - Use your FPGA to extend the RP2040 capabilities... - ...or many of other possibilities!🥰 For now using SPIBone core from @xobs for FPGA <-> RP2040 link.

@suarezvictor @mithro @tannewt @whatnick Fomu has docs that were programmatically generated as well: rm.fomu.im I think mostly what you want is to pass `csr_svd` to the `Builder` to generate a SVD file: #L2032-L2033" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">github.com/betrusted-io/b… You can also do litex.soc.doc.generate_docs(): #L2070-L2071" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">github.com/betrusted-io/b…

I justreleased a first draft of filesystem support on Xous using PDDB as a backing! `std::fs::File` and friends now behave like you think they should on Xous. More information at xobs.io/experimental-r…

@josh_triplett @yaahc_ cc-rs works fine for RISC-V code, so I suspect that line in the comments is outdated. We build our version of compiler-builtins using C code: github.com/betrusted-io/c… I'm more wondering if the Rust builders have a RISC-V C compiler, so we could start upstreaming Xous support.

@yaahc_ @xobs If you build a crate that has C code, that crate will expect to find an installed C compiler for the target. As @yaahc_ mentioned, cc-rs is how most crates find a C compiler. You'll also want rustc to find that as the linker, which should use cc-rs but currently doesn't.

@bunniestudios I was trying to reply to #comment-2564262" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">bunniestudios.com/blog/?p=6375#c… but it looks like your blogs commenting system accidentally ate my comment half way thru writing it so I'm rewriting the comment here where I'm more familiar with the UI

@yaahc_ I considered adding it upstream, but this comment made me hesitate: #L60-L62" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">github.com/rust-lang/comp… Do the Rust distribution containers support RISC-V C compilation yet? If not, where should I look?

Have you looked into adding Xous as a tier 3 platform upstream? doc.rust-lang.org/rustc/target-t… I'm not positive it would make your life easier but that is certainly the goal so if being a tier 3 Target wouldn't make maintaining xous's std impl easier we'd be interested in hearing why

I've been working on a new embedded operating system called Xous. It's a memory protected microkernel. I just released a port of Rust's standard library for it. So nice to have an allocator again. xobs.io/porting-rust-s…

@woohuiren > okay, found out that viewqwest was leaking traffic on equinix IX and -nobody- is doing BGP filters. So technically isn't your fault. Still having routing issues :(

@DPMHackaday @GovTechSG We can't post pictures for one very mundane reason: they could be used to buy out the entire supply chain while a tender is ongoing.

@xobs @GovTechSG I'm reading the article, very interesting so far. Curious as to why there are no pictures posted of the device. Were there restrictions on what you could publish? I'd love to see what one of these looks like.

I put together some of my thoughts on the @GovTechSG Trace Together Token at xobs.io/trace-together… -- tl;dr is that the hardware looks good, and we'll have to wait to see how the software looks

I was invited to review Singapore's #TraceTogether contact tracing token. Thoughts at bunniestudios.com/blog/?p=5820 My favorite insight: Singapore needs a token to serve two groups: the underprivileged, and iPhone users. Both don't own a phone, but for different reasons. @GovTechSG

@jim_mussared The Token's protocol is different, and the app will be updated to be compatible with both protocols. The Token relies exclusively on broadcast beacons rather than using a Gatt server. In that sense, it's closer in spirit to the Exposure Notification Protocol.

@xobs Hi @xobs do you know if the token protocol is based on BlueTrace and compatible with the TraceTogether/OpenTrace app?

I got invited to the GovTech offices yesterday to take a look at the TraceTogether Token they developed. It's a sound approach they're taking. It was great to meet Minister Vivian Balakrishnan and hear some of the reasoning behind the Trace Together decisions.
