I heard a man in the store complaining that gas being high was Joe Biden’s fault. I decided to throw caution to the wind and asked if he was a Republican. He said “ you better believe it”. I asked him why the republicans voted down the bill to stop price gouging and he said I was crazy. Matt Gaetz might be on his way out of the House, as a last-minute Republican challenger has stepped up to challenge him in the 1st Congressional district primary, and is supported by former Speaker Kevin McCarthy. The challenger is former Naval Aviator Aaron Dimmock, who qualified for the August 20th GOP primary just in time to challenge the embattled Congressman Gaetz, who has been dogged by accusations of sex with a minor. Gaetz fired a shot across Dimmock's bow, calling him a “Missouri-based DEI instructor,” and stating “Aaron is not in Kansas City anymore. This is Trump Country. Our pronouns are USA and MAGA. I’m a proud Trump Republican.” The House Ethics Committee is currently investigating allegations against Gaetz for illegal drug use as a member of Congress, and is deeply disliked in his own caucus for the part he played in unseating McCarthy.

They know Trump is weak. They know he is going to prison. They know he will lose the election. But…their mental, emotional and psychological desperation requires them to hold on to Trump, like a sailor adrift in the ocean…clinging to a life buoy. They have nothing else. It’s him..or nothing. 🚨BREAKING: Donald Trump is once again sleeping several times in the courtroom today, but this time, as one legal expert in the courtroom observed, he was taking a "bonafide nap." Former federal prosecutor Harry Litman has prime, front row seats to the spectacle, and noted at least three separate instances where the low-energy, disgraced former President was flat-out asleep during cross examination by Trump attorney Emil Bove. Litman noted that Bove's tempo and technique may have attributed to sleepy time for Trump, despite the courtroom temperature being set to keep lethargic defendants like Trump awake. "Trump heavy-lidded, seems to be dozing off," Litman noted at 10:03am, before reporting 16 minutes later that Trump was "Asleep for several minutes," before writing almost 20 minutes later "Again asleep, b/t his two main lawyers." Neither lawyer attempted to "rouse" their client, despite Litman's observation that this is a typical practice. If/when Trump is convicted, he'll have plenty of time to catch up on sleep.
