@jonbrooks I know someone who worked hard to get 100% disability. His claim was that he did too many push up’s and his shoulders hurt.

Spoke to an RN that approves VA disability. She says she thinks that 80% of it is fake. Veterans can come in and say they have tension headache or their back hurts, and are coached by attorneys, and they get up to 100% disability, including not paying property tax and getting $4-5k/month from the government — when in reality they’re completely fine. In fact, the RNs are paid an incentive via quotas to diagnose veterans with a disability and paid less if they don’t. I’m not saying there aren’t people who legitimately don’t have disabilities from serving our country, but folks who have never seen combat and are literally sitting at desks are getting 100% disability. It’s pretty insane. Does that make you mad? What if you could get the same disability working for a company?

ME: Daycare is expensive, but worth it. THEM: Why would you pay to have someone else raise your kids? ME: They're not raising my kids, they're taking care of them while we work. THEM: One of you should quit your job so you aren't handing your kids off to strangers each day. ME: They're not strangers, they're professionals. And we'd have even less money if one of us stayed at home with the kids. THEM: It shouldn't be about money, it should be about bonding with your kids. ME: Kids need bonding with more than just their parents. Their daycare teachers and other kids at daycare are some of their best friends, and they're excited to go each day. THEM: You're letting them get indoctrinated by today's education system and propaganda. ME: They're literally learning colors, the ABCs, and how to count to 10. THEM: Some parents just don't want to be parents! ME: *stops arguing with a wall*

@ReichlinMelnick You can’t read. She said government assistance, not federal assistance. Second, dollars are fungible. Meaning, states give immigrants cash because they receive federal dollars to fund other programs states would normally fund with that cash. Fed enables it.

This is a falsehood. Undocumented immigrants are not eligible for federal assistance. Virtually all are working hard; often extremely hard, 80+ hours a week, and face exploitation from unscrupulous employers. Many *literally* build this country; 50% of Texas construction workers!
Lydia Moynihan@LydiaMoynihan

America has always been a nation of immigrants. But in the 1800s, immigrants came here to BUILD this country. No welfare, no handouts, just opportunity and hard work. Today millions cross illegally and immediately get on government assistance. That's not the same thing.

@RepPettersen Don’t elect people like this who make up wedge issues that are false. It is not the constitutional responsibility of the federal government to help with child care, food security or most of the nonsense that comes out of these people’s mouths . National security is.

Hegseth wasted $15M on ribeye steaks, $7M on lobster, and $98K on a grand piano — while Trump spent $400M on a ballroom, millions on private jets, and profited over $1.4B off the presidency. All while saying they don’t have enough money for your healthcare, child care or really anything for you.

I pay $200 a year to not worry about gas prices, my electricity rate is locked in. But when I bought my Tesla, I didn’t have this $200 tax. Texas implemented this $200 tax AFTER they gave Elon billions in tax breaks. The Texas Government is one of the worst in America.
