Yesterday, an image of Messi supposedly stepping on Spence’s foot before Argentina’s 2nd goal went viral. People were claiming Messi should’ve been sent off, the goal should’ve been disallowed, that FIFA protects him—you know, the usual.
So what happened next?
Archivo VAR responded to the image:
“Argentina’s 2nd goal is unquestionably valid. Whoever edited the image to make Lionel Messi’s foot appear closer to Spence’s accidentally changed the England player’s shirt number from 25 to 23.”
Ronaldo fans’ final attempt to discredit Messi collapsed thanks to a terrible Photoshop job.

But in the Egypt match, VAR called it in Argentina's favor. In the Switzerland match, VAR called it in Argentina's favor again. In this match, when it was against Argentina, they didn't call it. #FIFA , you can shove your tournament up your ass. Take your championship and stick it up your ass.
