Every single man and woman there that I spoke had at least one hobby, in fact most of them, particularly the women, had several hobbies on the go at once. Who’s anecdote wins?

It's funny. I read about it couple of days ago. So yesterday, I had a big group gathering. Lot's of grown women there, and men, all my age, around 50. So I raised the subject and asked, is this true, do men have more hobbies than women? So everyone, all women and men started to tell their hobbies. And.. it was true. Far more women couldn't list anything. Some said straight, "I don't have any". They also said by themselves that reading is not really a hobby. I was even mean and whenever one said, they read, I asked "what are you reading" - they were hesitating to say, lol. Even the women had to admit at the end that yes, we men had by far more "hobbies" then them.

What is up with this attitude of superiority and idea that most women don’t have hobbies and skills?
