A lot of people here are saying that the US threatened Israel with an arms embargo and\or a forced ceasefire via the UN Security Council, and I'm pretty sure it's based on a bad translation of Hebrew media saying that Netanyahu was *concerned* about the Biden admin not vetoing an anti-Israel UNSC resolution but no explicit threat was made. I have only been able to confirm the latter and can't even find original reporting of the former.
What is true is that the Biden admin has been holding up weapons on its own, without a UNSCR, and they agreed to stop that in tandem with the ceasefire.
