@TingZhaoPathdoc Actually, I still felt it difficult diagnosing in a metastatic lymph node specimen an LEC (rather than a usual SCC if categorized as different entity) of other primary organs, particularly the EBV- one…

@Janiranavarro Always throw EMA and S100 and get an equivocally weak and negative result. Then hesitating a GLUT1 as a raffle😅

Colonic perineurioma - Poorly circumscribed spindle cell proliferation, usually confined to the mucosa - Entrapped/overlying colonic crypts appear hyperplastic or serrated - EMA positive, usually weak positivity (Pic 3), S100 negative #pathology #PathX #pathtwitter #everydayGI

The new edition of the globally accepted WHO classification of Digestive System Tumours (blue book) is the subject of this review. The article outlines the important changes succinctly and clearly, with appealing diagrams and relevant images. doi.org/10.1111/his.70… #GIpathology

Most cases occurs in the 2nd trimester. Intrauterine fetal demise after GA 8 with retention and mechanical compression for over 10 weeks would make it mummified, resembling a parchment paper.

2nd case: one MPMN in the lepidic pattern of AIS, adjacent to the interlobular septum (other findings: another MPMN at the left lower corner and apical cap at right lower corner) SSTR2a IHC for interest came out today in the 1st case.

those fibrin/PLT >90% -> favored active cancer What about CE and LAA? It could be more difficult. Several studies dig into % composition, but the results are inconsistent. The % are often overlapped and not "clinically significant" enough. Ref: doi.org/10.1007/s00234…

(Note: These applies to "active" cancer.) In the above case, the diagnosis of neurological team shifts toward cancer-related thromboembolism. As the original case with MCA stroke, a lung nodule is found on CXR after hospitalization, and subsequent biopsy reveals a lung adeno.

Similar one upon reviewing my colleague's cases 74M, history of heavily treated lung adenoca with pleural, spinal, and liver mets Found acute ischemic stroke, basilar artery tip to right SCA and bilateral proximal PCAs Neurology team favored large artery atherosclerosis.

"Clinical correlation" is fascinating, particularly guiding clinicians in a bunch of ditzels. Specimen retrieved by endovascular thrombectomy, from a patient with acute ischemic stroke, left MCA distal M1 occlusion. What history would you expect? #pathology #pathtwitter
