Gap between the volume of green electricity generated & sold in Ireland is widening. The Green Cert system needs reform. "SEAI reports 40% renewable energy, yet the CRU claims 61% - a glaring disparity exposing the absurdity of ‘green’ energy suppliers,“ businesspost.ie/news/gap-betwe…

Attention Energy Nerds. Here's where Ireland got it's Electricity from in 2023. Gas CCGTs are still super-important at ~40% of the mix, with wind around 35%. East West imported net 1.6TWh. Coal contributes 4%, Hydro and Aughinish (CHP) 3%, Waste-to-Energy 2% ⚡️🇮🇪

@FBuckley17 @RobertShortt @Paulkenny79 @EamonRyan Retail prices are normally reflective of expectations of prices over the front 12-18 mths, inclusive of one-off days of low prices like tmrw. The forward gas curve has dropped considerably since mid November, so this should reflected in bills early in the new year I'd wager

Help: Does anyone know where to find data that shows when the synchronous condensor is on? SEMO's RTC operational schedule report shows it's almost always scheduled with a quantity of 0 or 1. Does it mean it's on when it's 1?🤔 Thanks! cc: @Spark_ie @duncmat @JosephJCullen

@AerLingus Hi any chance you can provide an update on the cancelled Italian flights? Will additional flights be arranged on Sunday or do we have to find alternatives ourselves + accommodation.
