I think this has happened around five times since Trump declared a cease-fire on April 7th. He says Iran is begging to make a deal and that they are ready to capitulate to his maximalist peace terms and threatens them with obliteration if they don't. Then, he calls off his escalation because he claims the deal is about to be signed to manipulate oil prices and the stock market. Later, we find out that Iran hasn't budged and they are still refusing to negotiate with us until Trump lifts his naval blockade. Rinse and repeat almost every week. It's a total scam to make it appear like he is strong and Iran is weak, confused and divided when the truth is the exact opposite. It is Trump that is weak and confused not knowing what to do while Iran's leadership remains united in refusing to surrender to the US.
