I will have to slow down for a few days on here. I’m grieving - my family is hurting, we just need a few days. On Easter Sunday we announced to family that we were expecting a baby. For the last few days I have known that child is now with God. The reality of this information is now incredibly intense. I share this news with you all here because this space has not just been one for me to promote our family business, share our farming and homesteading journey, but has allowed me to meaningful connect with people here. I had no idea how many other people experience this type of loss. I miss my child. I want to know more about my baby - I won’t and that is just a reality. All business operations for Cottage Pastures will continue as normal - but this is a family business and so content will be a bit slower today.

My baby boy has passed away peacefully in his sleep. In his own bed in his own home with his whole family as he would’ve wanted it. I told him how much I loved him. I thanked him for being my best friend for 15 years. I told him he was a good boy and it was ok to go home. My heart is broken 💔 RIP Skippy

Taking a little bit from #ProjectUnreasonable working through a prep phase focusing on HR capped easy runs. Couple more weeks of this and then we add in a long run and some speed work
