One thing we left out (a bit technical) is we are supporting "LUD-21: Specify a payment amount in local unit of account" even though it's not officially part of the specs yet. The Pouch app's first main use case was processing payments on bitcoin island, Boracay. Then, it naturally became a tool for borderless payments and stacking sats. As previously announced via email, our app is rebranding to isle.ph, as a nod to where it all started with the bitcoin island project! This rebrand effort will take some time to fully transition over, but please note that our social media accounts will be updated soon to reflect the change.

@abeadato4 There are several businesses on Boracay still accepting bitcoin. The pouch.ph app is now the isle.ph app. Renaming was the quickest workaround to get back online.

I just paid for orange juice with orange coin at a vending machine in the Philippines. Deposit Bitcoin to @Pouch_PH , convert to pesos, and scan to pay in a second. The vending machines aren't lightning-native yet but ..baby steps!
