A war to start a bigger war… the Iran war will be remembered by future generations for being the first chapter in the worst episode of this century (though we’re just in the first quarter of it). - It’s already the Middle East’s biggest conflict since ever (Not the deadliest yet, but the most expansive at once, with multiple fronts active simultaneously - already global aspects exist - Not a world war, but a conflict with world-war dynamics: several players, theatres, zerosome requests - threat of nuclear disaster (strikes on nuclear sites raise the chance of radiological fallout without a weapon ever being detonated) - unknown threats surpass known ones - no exit strategy, no plan, escalation of commitments
