Thought for the day Many hospitals have re-instated mask wearing as covid cases & hospitalisations rise in the UK. Lots of in-person medical conferences happening currently. Surely it is sensible to advise mask wearing at conferences as well?

I am so so tired of uncertainty and errors in pay. We need a central employer so we can lead financially stable adult lives, I would say financial safety is a pretty basic need.

And I don’t want anyone to talk to me about wellbeing and cake until these things are sorted.

👇complete lunacy @sajidjavid @RishiSunak . Punitive pension taxation literally pushing most experienced to early retirement, leaving NHS & reducing hours You really need to start listening to the experts on this, before its too late- #taxunregistered (like judges) RT if agree
Ben Lovell@DrBenLovell

Just found out that by working as a consultant for the last year - on an 11 PA job with no private work - I have somehow put too much money into my pension (like I have any say or control over this) + now must pay a tax bill as punishment. I have to pay bills to go to work now?

This isn’t about changing history or tradition. It’s about making people feel that Cricket is a game for them, being more inclusive, more welcoming to a sport which, quite frankly, needs to. I’m not sorry if you can’t understand this, you just aren’t part of the future.✌️🏏

The police have today concluded that the PM, the Chancellor and the PM’s wife all attended illegal parties, that breached Covid laws written by the PM. This is most serious for Boris Johnson of the three of them, because it was he who told MPs on 8 December…

We’ve changed the rules on passing, and the positioning of, people cycling. When travelling at up to 30 mph, leave at least 1.5 metres when overtaking people who cycle, and give more space at higher speeds. Check the changes, let’s keep each other safe. #HighwayCode

Thank you @AnnelieseDodds and @wesstreeting for listening to medical professionals and women. The decision to recommend telemedicine is made permanent by the Welsh government also makes the UK government’s decision harder to justify.
Anneliese Dodds@AnnelieseDodds

The Government plans to withdraw telemedicine abortion services in six months. Clinical experts are clear that this is a safe, effective, and accessible form of fertility control. That's why @wesstreeting and I have called on the Health Secretary to offer it permanently.

@chebbes @Cheapoflurane I’ve always scanned with both, but preferentially with my left hand. That’s the way I was taught. It means I can press buttons on the machine with my dominant hand, which seemed harder!

@Cheapoflurane Talking about this the other day - If I’m teaching, I’ll go to the left of the patient to help and guide if I need to and so that I can see the screen whilst the trainee scans from the right. My left handed scanning is getting better slowly
