The gap between "works in a demo" and "works at scale" is about 4,000 commits.

b2c is weirdly abandoned rn. not bc there are no opportunities, but bc ppl convinced themselves there aren’t.

Maybe, but to then copy our entire process, adopt our exact language and make it much cheaper because you use certification mills from India while claiming to deliver the same quality we do is not. Think about it. The guy had the gall to get on a call with me, as a fellow YC founder, to ask me advice and get insights on compliance. This wasn’t a demo sales call. Many founders know me to be helpful and transparent. But that violation of trust by someone who I was trying to help makes me upset to this day. That first call was the start of a long chapter where we struggled to match Delve’s magical promises, that they could only deliver on through fraud. That call stands symbol to me of something that I can’t describe in any other way than a blight on our industry.

@BryanOnel86 @Shrikoo @getdelve Not a fan of delve but secret shopping is fairly commonplace and benign

@zerocaulk @yacineMTB Most YC companies from P25 onwards that I’ve interacted with were using Delve.

Why is it BS if Delve is defaulting people into signing SOC 2 reports that blatantly lie (the 20 hr pentest thing brought up in the article)? I understand that security is every company’s job and these companies are really only guides through the soc 2 process, but this is at the very least predatory behaviour by Delve. The most represented delve customer is a 20 year old college dropout who got into an accelerator. What’s the point of a guide if theyre passively attempting to misrepresent you through the process?

sent this to the team today everything great comes from being able to delay gratification for as long as possible and it feels like we're collectively losing our ability to do that

Reading code is now the bottleneck Invest in tools to help you intently read and scrutinize AI generated code: - eink monitor: read code for hours with zero eye strain, less visual noise - sunlight: better sleep, attention, cognitive performance - indoor plants: lower stress

there is still no substitute for perfectly understanding every single line of code in your codebase i fall into the trap of just skimming through ai changes to "just make sure it looks good" all the time, and it makes me lose so much time to not perfectly understand every line
