@kp_hedges I remember when i got my badge 10 years ago driverless cars were about to be allowed on London streets. 10 years on and still waiting 😂

@PaulParklane People saying it’s not worth taking 3y to do the K need 2 get out there & go check what’s on the scrapheap! Some senior roles in company’s are only offering peanuts! This job is still a well paid job & yes, we don’t need many out but a healthy turnover keeps us relevant.

It's been a couple of years since I was saying we need to make changes to the KOL to encourage new drivers and I got slaughtered for having an agenda , shouldn't have an opinion etc because I rent cabs , nothing has really changed apart from more of a drop in numbers. 👀👀

@TomTaxiDriver @silvercab49 Can’t see it happening. This job isn’t attractive for young guys , you can drive Tesla for u**r within 2-3 months from applying, not 2-3 years. It will be interesting to see how the trade will change in near future

Looking at the age of my fellow cab drivers (I'm no youngster myself) there's potentially thousands going to retire/die and very little in the form of replacements coming thru.Or am I being to d&g and pessimistic?

We have been out on patrol this morning in #RichmondPark. This Mercedes was stopped after it was seen to overtake another vehicle. The driver didn’t have a valid licence for the UK, reported and vehicle seized. The van was stopped as it was not authorised to be in the park.

@CabvisionTaxi In 1981 there wasn’t a minicab on every corner. This is the problem that cause decrease in cab numbers.

Last time we had this level of drivers was 1981 when we had 2.1m less people in London! We are heading into 1970's levels next year. Nothing to see here...
