Opened HSBC Premier account via TRV route. Got the Platinum signature debit card, cheque book, everything looked premium. Then discovered the real catch: No trading account, only Demat. Trading “may resume in 2026” no clarity, no commitment. Branch & Premier phone banking both said there’s no definitive timeline. For anyone who invests, this is a serious limitation. Holding shares without easy buying/selling is not “Premier”. Decided to close the account. Personal finance is personal. Got to know about this limitation from @PointsPro posts.
