I don't know who needs to hear this, but North Korea is your enemy. They hate what you love. You should want them destroyed. Every loss of theirs is your win. Blockchain has real enemies, and among them North Korea is the final boss. To prostrate yourself before them, to defend their right to keep attacking you, is the height of self-hatred. Decentralization is not a suicide pact. It's the opposite: it lets us agree on shared values and enforce them collectively. It means we have no higher power to answer to than each other, and no one can stop our collective will. So here's a value we should all agree on: Fuck North Korea. They don't get to win. We do.

Two charts for your weekend... ISM: 48.8 in October. 52.7 in March. BTC is down 50% in the same window. The old BTC-ISM correlation just broke down in real time. Someone mapped every cycle back to 2013 and found the reason: BTC doesn't trade the ISM. It trades liquidity.

Vitalik Buterin recently acknowledged that Ethereum has not yet meaningfully improved freedom, privacy, or digital security for everyday users. He linked rising global anxiety to surveillance, wars, and declining trust in social media platforms, suggesting that while Decentralized Finance has been a major breakthrough, financial tools alone cannot solve deeper structural problems. He called for Ethereum to support what he described as “sanctuary technologies.” These are systems that allow people to communicate, organize, and collaborate without centralized control not just financial rails, but resilient digital infrastructure. This does not diminish DeFi. In many ways, DeFi is the first successful proof that open, decentralized systems can work at global scale. But the broader opportunity may be even larger. Ethereum is evolving into a shared digital coordination layer, where finance, identity, communication, and governance can operate without centralized gatekeepers. For builders, this significantly expands the design space. The next wave of meaningful adoption may come from products that combine financial infrastructure with real digital utility, systems that help people coordinate capital, protect digital identity, or operate online without relying entirely on centralized platforms. Ethereum’s long-term value has always come from what people can build on top of it. And the surface area for that innovation may be much larger than finance alone.
