Something that breaks my heart as a Millennial is we actually believed it. We believed the world was getting better. We had ringtones and AIM and MySpace and it felt like the future was ours. We marched. We voted. We showed up. We thought progress was a one way street. Nobody told us it had a reverse gear. Gen Z never got to be that naive. They were born already knowing. That’s the part that hurts most. We lost something. They never even got to have it.

Nothing will surprise you when you accept that we have entered a post-literate age. The expectation that the average person be capable of intellectual curiosity, capable of reflection of any depth, is ahistorical. We are dragging ourselves back to the primitive era of orality, where emotionalism dissolves mind and spreads shallowness. We are returning to the historical norm where the privacy and depth created by the written word is maintained by a separate caste of people who inhabit the past, present and future, surrounded by people who can only conceive of an incoherent present.

With this mindset you’ll learn in weeks what others can only learn in years.

Forget “Boy dollars versus Girl Dollars” meet “Boomer dollars versus Zoomer dollars”. For Boomers, Pensions are “earned” , vacations are economic stimulus, brunch is “supporting our downtown community” For Zoomers, living wage is “entitlement”, taking a loan for a STEM degree is indulgence and a potential bad investment, buying a coffee is irresponsible.

Here is what I can say very clearly: when you have the actual receipts of history contemporaneously recorded in real-time, you have a far different perspective. Most of the folks that saw this world are gone or don’t remember. AI trained in reality and not some author of books understands reality by a massive amount. Just this broadcast may expand your insights in the past and the moment we are in today. We have 1000s of these that no other AI platform cares about nor can find.

If the lawsuits accusing LLMs of being the cause of suicide and mental illness actually pass in favor of the people filing them, that begins a potentially very dangerous arc that could result in the total policing of all language and expression in the US. It would establish a legal precedent that words/media can be blamed for inducing psychosis and/or suicide. The next logical thing to move on to after establishing that idea would be suing filmmakers, authors, artists for the same thing.
