This $TSLA stuff is nuts. This is just the beginning. We are now seeing Autopilot/FSD-related crashes from 2018-2019 coming to trials or Tesla settling them before them, like this one today. The number of crashes involving Autopilot/FSD has ramped up incredibly starting in 2020-2021. What's the plan here? There are at least 50 fatal crashes involving Autopilot/FSD. Countless more that weren't fatal. Will Tesla continue to make settlements after each one? The trial was $243 million. Tesla had refused $60 million before the trial. What's the going rate for a settlement? $50 million? More people die in crashes involving Tesla’s half-baked ADAS products. Tesla continues to compensate the victims and their families with millions each time, essentially using the money it earns from selling the dream of those half-baked ADAS features eventually leading to real autonomy. What kind of crazy cycle is that? Crazy times we live in.

UPDATE‼️ I just cashed my $TSLA puts out. 40%+ gain in like 2 days. Tesla stock probably has way further to fall but I don’t want to risk it. I’m happy with this 40% and I’m out ✌️ Tesla should be around $75-$125 right now. Doesn’t mean it will go there.

It’s interesting that I’m being called a Tesla hater for pointing out that demand is collapsing and Tesla needs major changes to turn things around. My main point has always been what if Elon is wrong again/lying about solving self-driving? He was wrong about Tesla solving self-driving on HW2.5. He was wrong about solving it on HW3.0. Now, what if he is wrong about HW4.0? Tesla will be facing huge liability and it will be stuck with a rapidly degrading auto business while trying to make things right. It’s a terrible situation that looks likely as Tesla is about to launch a self-driving pilot program with likely 1:1 or 2:1 ratio of cars to teleoperator 6 years after Elon claimed Tesla solved self-driving. This blind faith in Elon is stupid and pointing it out doesn’t make someone a Tesla hater. On the contrary, I’m extremely worried about Tesla.
