Will never forget this trade. When I found out that they didn’t give up Mike York in the deal, I wanted to do backflips lmao. Then they dealt him days later for Tom Poti. That Pavel Bure run to end that season was insane though. He almost catapulted that Ranger team into a playoff spot, if not for Chris Tamer hitting Mike Richter in the side of the mask with a slapshot in Atlanta. #NYR

Scored in his first game against Vancouver which wasn’t on MSG for some reason. I think Knicks took MSG that night and they got relegated to one of the backup channels. I strictly remember not being able to watch that game because I was so hyped for it and so mad, but found out they lost.

Borgen for McTavish feels like a solid framework. Drury and Verbeek have been good trading partners. Verbeek needs RH D. McTavish is a depressed asset. Rangers can absorb the salary differential easily while adding a young forward and opening a spot for Iorio and Morrow.

McTavish has fallen out of favor with the Ducks. He’s 23 and in the first year of a six year deal paying $7m per. The Ducks have no RHD under contract beyond this season. Would a Borgen for McTavish deal make sense for #NYR this summer?

Met with good friends last night and had a great time as always. Not one of them sees themselves in Canada within the next 12-18 months. They all see the writing on the wall in this country/province. Canada is broken. Successive Liberal governments (which will ever end now that the Libs are fixing the game by letting in so many immigrants who will vote Liberal) have ruined this country. This is the most divisive I have seen Canada in my 51 years on this planet. This is the most expensive, the most ideologically driven, the most corrupt…morally and financially I have ever seen this country and government. I’ve been saying this for weeks now…B.C. will see the largest out migration in its history over the course of these next two years. The country wont miss a beat though as their immigration policies are designed to offset the massive out flow of Canadians to the land of the free…. It’s really quite sad that it’s come to this, that people see no way of righting the ship and that they’d rather leave the country of their birth to ensure their freedoms are respected and their opportunities are endless.
