Queens #Shmira was honored to be invited to attend the “Never Is Now” Expo, hosted by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), where leaders came together to address the growing challenges of antisemitism. At this week’s forum, we heard directly from ADL CEO @JGreenblattADL and participated in meaningful discussions on practical, actionable strategies to counter hate & strengthen community safety. Rabbi Yisroel Kahan, Senior Associate Regional Director and Liaison to the Orthodox Community, who continues to strengthen connections between the ADL and Jewish communities across the region also shared experiences. Thank you Scott Richman @ADL_NYNJ for hosting this important and impactful conversation. 📞 Queens Shmira 24/7 Hotline: 718-329-4444

We commend Argentina for assuming the presidency of @TheIHRA and congratulate our friend Marcelo Mindlin on his nomination to chair this important effort. At a time when antisemitism is rising and Holocaust denial is spreading, this role carries profound urgency and responsibility. We look forward to working closely with our partners at @museoshoa as they lead this critical mission this year. jpost.com/diaspora/antis…

We join our partners and the entire French Jewish community in remembering the four victims of the brutal antisemitic terror attack that took place at the Ozar Hatorah school in Toulouse, France, 14 years ago today. Three children and the father of two of them were murdered by an Islamist terrorist for one reason - they were Jewish. Rabbi Jonathan Sandler z"l Arieh Sandler z"l Gabriel Sandler z"l Miriam Monsonego z"l May their memory be a blessing.

At the @ADL 's conference, @EmmanuelAcho shared his personal experience with antisemitism. Acho has been a consistent and powerful ally to the Jewish community, well before October 7th, using his voice and platform to stand against hate. Thank you, Emmanuel, for bringing your personal experience and commitment to understanding others - to center stage. 🎥 @ADL

The ADL Center on Extremism works around the clock to help prevent the next threat from becoming the next tragedy. As ADL's @orensegal shared at #NeverIsNow, we fight hate — not with words alone, but with intelligence information, partnerships, and action.

Last May, Sarah Milgrim z”l and her partner Yaron Lischinsky z”l were fatally shot in an act of antisemitic violence outside the Capital Jewish Museum in D.C. Sarah’s parents, Bob and Nancy Milgrim, joined us at #NeverIsNow with @JonahPKaplan to honor Sarah’s memory and speak about the urgent need to combat antisemitism in all its forms. They're message was clear: Sarah was proud to be Jewish and we should be, too. Thank you, Bob and Nancy. May Sarah and Yaron’s memory forever be a blessing.

This week, SAJBD National Director @BroadattheBoard Wendy Kahn and Cape Chair Simone Sulcas and Director Daniel Bloch represented South Africa at the Anti-Defamation League’s National @ADL Leadership Summit in New York — the world’s largest gathering of Jewish leaders tackling antisemitism and hate, with participants from 26 countries. Wendy presented on a panel at the conference on South Africa’s current situation on the topic of “One People: How Jewish Communities Around the World are Working Together to Confront Antisemitism and Build Resilience.” The global audience was inspired by how the majority of South African universities have remained safe, inclusive, and cohesive spaces for Jewish students, despite challenges faced worldwide. The SA leadership also participated in a global roundtable with fellow international leadership. The summit highlighted a simple yet powerful truth: when Jewish communities worldwide share experiences and support one another, they become stronger, more resilient, and better equipped to face the challenges of today and tomorrow.

Members of the J7 Task Force met with @UN Permanent Representatives from these seven countries in NYC today to have an open discussion about the rising crisis of global antisemitism. We urged these representatives to identify actions governments and international organizations can take to address antisemitism and to work for real accountability by UN officials to address antisemitism at the UN and beyond. ADL appreciates the @EdWorkforceCmte for continuing to examine the rise of antisemitism on college and university campuses and for elevating the urgency of addressing these challenges. The Committee’s findings raise serious concerns, including instances where faculty and student groups may be contributing to a climate that is hostile or unwelcoming for Jewish students, staff and faculty. We value the Committee’s ongoing leadership and its recommendations, many of which align with ADL’s priorities, including encouraging campuses to adopt clear definitions of antisemitism and to consistently enforce conduct policies. This report highlights the need for continued attention and thoughtful action to ensure college and university campuses are safe and inclusive for all members of the campus community.

Today at #NeverIsNow, we honored those we’ve lost and recognized the resilience of these communities. Thank you, Zach Shemper (Beth Israel Congregation, MS), Susan Rona (@ADLMtnStates), Elyssa Schmier (@ADLMichigan) @PhilR_R (@BoardofDeputies) and Daniel Aghion (@ECAJewry), for standing united against hate and reminding us what’s at stake: not policies or statistics, but people’s lives.

Thank you @JGreenblattADL and thank you @adlisrael @ADL for this amazing honor. Like I’ve said we are united in the fight against antisemitism in all of its forms and I’m with you in this fight! And In-sha-allah, אם ירצה השם, we will win! P.S Tweeting this while sirens are going off in Israel.

We’re honored to present @lucyaharish with @ADL’s Abraham Award for her relentless efforts to bring people from different communities together. Her promotion of unity and peace goes far beyond the Middle East. She's a prime of example of someone using their platform to denounce antisemitism and inspire hope.

Grateful for our partnership with @ADL bringing so many @HillelIntl student leaders from across the country and around the world to #NeverIsNow for a very meaningful two days, as part of our Hillel Leadership Passport program. Students had the chance to learn from my friend and @ADL's fearless leader @jgreenblattadl, philanthropic leaders including @RobertKrafts & @DM_Rubenstein sports and entertainment leaders @JessicaBerman1 @EmmanuelAcho and Gloria Gaynor, and the 4,000 other religious, business and community leaders who turned out to stand up against antisemitic hate and stand up for a safe, proud and joyful Jewish future. With these students leading us into the future, we can be confident that better days are ahead!

Campus is where identity takes root. But when that environment becomes hostile, building community becomes both harder and more essential. To the Student Leadership Passport participants standing with us today: your courage gives me hope about our future as a Jewish community. Proud to have my friend @AdamL, CEO of @HillelIntl here at #NeverIsNow to discuss how we're ensuring the next generation can lead as their full, Jewish selves.
