A party finding its way back from the wilderness can’t afford to waste its time removing the growing and energetic part of its base. We’re proud to stand with @MYDFL, the DFL Progressive Caucus, and the DFL Disability Caucus in working to build the party, not tearing it down.

We, along with the DFL Progressive Caucus, @StonewallDFL, and the DFL Disability Caucus stand united in building and maintaining a Party that is welcoming and open to all. We are stronger when we come together and celebrate diversity of all kinds—including diversity of thought.

Pragmatic, progressive governance does not involve kicking out our allies. The attempt by some to make the big tent the size of a rain poncho is not where our energy should ever be. We should be bringing in more people to the DFL as we organize to win big this election year.

It’s actually wild to me that centrists who stand for nothing except the status quo can punch left all day and create all the divisive PACs they want, but if the left so much as sneezes in their direction, we are the bad guys. THEY are destroying the party. Centrism is a disease.

I know what the FL in DFL stands for. Our party is literally a coalition of the Democratic Party and the Farmer-Labor Party, a left third party. We win when we come together, we lose when people try to divide us. Humphrey's statue is near Floyd B. Olson's on the Capitol grounds.

After four consecutive quarters trailing our team’s fundraising, the Lt. Governor’s “best quarter to date” also comes up short compared to MAGA Michele Tafoya. We can’t afford to gamble with a Democratic Senate majority by nominating a candidate with questionable viability.

Nearly 40,000 people participated in DFL caucus night this year. They came with a wide range of viewpoints and opinions but chose to make a statement by engaging in our party. Since then, I’ve traveled across Minnesota and seen the energy in our organizing unit conventions firsthand. It’s real, and much of it is being shaped by the frustration coming out of Operation Metro Surge. DFLers are tired of the cruelty and the constant overreach of this administration. That’s what makes gimmicks like this so extremely disappointing and exhausting. This is the kind of stuff that makes people wary of engaging in any kind of partisan political activity. At a time of creeping fascism, we should be looking for ways to continue to expand our coalition, not shrink it. There will always be people in this party whose views, tactics, and even personalities don’t align with yours. And that’s okay. But if the whole history of our party has actually taught us anything, from 1968 to 2024, it’s that we win when we do everything in our power to bring voices to the table and lose when we decide to shut voices out. Anything less misses the moment we’re in. We can and should do better — the question is: will we?

@sam_schulie_1 This is exactly what Republicans want: more infighting that cuts our movement down. Instead of whining about progressive socialist wins, you could instead… y’know, get on board with this movement we’re building. Oh wait, your donor-class buddies wouldn’t like that, would they?

Please don't watch the hacked movie. Wait for it to release, give the artists and animators what they deserve. Jobs are likely on the line.
