Anyone who surfed the early web between 1995-2010. What’s the one website/app you still think about?

This is great in theory, but has anyone actually tried running this LLM on commodity H/W? LLMs are extremely resource-intensive in terms of compute and memory. Unless you have a $20k rig at home, I don't expect the throughput (generated tokens/second) to be acceptable for a state-of-the-art model.

PewDiePie releasing a local based LLM agent to compete with ChatGPT and OpenClaw was not on my bingo card for 2026: What is Odysseus? Local/self-hosted AI workspace — Runs on your own hardware (or via APIs if you want), no cloud dependency, no accounts, no telemetry/tracking. Includes agents — Self-evolving agents that can do real tasks like web browsing, file editing, document work, research reports, email triage/auto-replies, etc. Features — Chat interface, memory, deep research tools, image generation/editing, MCP support, galleries, libraries, and more. It’s basically his custom "ChatOS" evolved into a full productivity suite. Built because he got tired of janky self-hosting setups and giving data to big tech.

@bryan_johnson No, absolutely talk about how you have the privilege to eat their daughter's 1% vag and then brag about it on X. I am sure they will be delighted. If not, try to convince them with the recent picture from the gynecologist. That'll work for sure. Good luck👍

I’m meeting Kate’s parents for the first time. Do you think they’ll like me? I’m flying 17 hrs. She’s from Australia and international travel increases aging. But I really love her so it’s worth the cost.

Garbage in, garbage out. You and your colleagues are the reason academic publishing is a joke these days. I hope you enjoy your meaningless publication record, but know that real science that benefits humanity - and not your ego - is done by people with ethics and a moral compass.

Meet “Kit”. The Firefox Web browser’s new, non-binary mascot. Yes. You read that right. Non-binary. With “They/Them” pronouns. Because, of course @Mozilla had to inject “pronouns”, and “gender identity” politics into a web browser.

The grooming gangs scandal is one of the darkest moments in our country’s history - where the most vulnerable were abused and exploited by evil child rapists. The independent national Inquiry will now begin its work to uncover how these crimes were allowed to happen and root out failure wherever it occurred. The Inquiry will be laser‑focused on grooming gangs and will explicitly examine the role of ethnicity, religion and culture - including how institutions responded. There will be no hiding place for the predatory monsters who committed these vile crimes.

Sure, racial discrimination is bad. But in all fairness, you should mention that only 1% of applicants in the top (10th) decile are Black. From the same data: application and admissions in 10th decile: • Asian: 7,225 (57%), admitted 917 • White: 4,963 (39%), admitted 758 • Hispanic: 380 (3%), admitted 119 • Black: 133 (1%), admitted 75

Racial discrimination at Harvard: Blacks are granted such a large advantage by Harvard over their White peers that a Black applicant in the 5th decile still has a higher chance of admission than a White applicant in the 10th decile. If we use Asians in the 10th academic decile as a reference point, we notice that the most qualified Asian individuals have a worse chance of getting into Harvard than Black individuals in the 4th decile from the bottom half of the applicant pool.

@aidenpryde @LundukeJournal At first, it will be just as simple as that. Enter your birth date, done. Once the mechanism is in place everywhere, politicians will say "but it's too easy to spoof!" and demand linking age verification to e-ID. And again, unfortunately, all the big companies will comply.

@LundukeJournal I'm very interested to know how this is going to work on headless operating systems like Ubuntu Server. I've read that it's merely a "enter your birthdate" which is so easy to spoof. Is it more than that?

The Fedora Linux Project Leader (which is a paid position within Red Hat to control the Fedora project) was "not personally aware" of the California law requiring age verification at the Operating System level. The California bill passed last year, with fines kicking in a little over 9 months from now... and leadership within Red Hat (IBM) was not aware of it until The Lunduke Journal covered it last week.

microsoft just released a security patch that deletes your internet!!! the dhcp client service is functionally dead because they forgot how dll exports work. the os literally telling you it has lost the will to live the only way to save your pc from kb5077181 is to delete the catroot2 folder (unless you trust the 'pause updates' button) kb5077181 is the most stable release yet, provided you never actually want to log in to your account again neowin.net/news/windows-1…

I wouldn't do that. $100/month is a lot of money for many people. Make it $49/month and you'll likely see a huge jump in subscribers. You made similar statements about the X subscription fee. I suppose when your net worth has 14 zeroes, it's easy to lose any sense of what's affordable for normal people.

Claude's constitution is out! It's the culmination of a lot of work by many people, but it's also a work in progress that will no doubt change and hopefully improve over time. I'm looking forward to people's thoughts, and to talking with more people about this kind of work ❤️

You represent the GNOME approach to things perfectly: I don't use / know about this feature, so let's remove it. GNOME Devs have been on the high horse for decades. Criticize them, and you'll be called an ignorant. BTW, while it still works: try the middle-button copy feature. You can keep two things in the buffer (ctrl-c, then mark with mouse), switch to the other app and paste the two buffers (ctrl-c, middle click). Super useful to copy user ID / passwords in one go, for example.

@LundukeJournal I just started donating to GNOME project monthly because I've been using it for 10+ years as my daily Desktop and honestly X11 to me is more like a "let it go" architecture/solution but, most importantly, "wheel-click" is not something laptops or "pods" care about: why drama? 🤔

GNOME is preparing to disable the “Click the Middle Mouse Button to Paste from the Clipboard” feature because it “is an X11ism”. At this point, a significant portion of the GNOME leadership is driven to make design and engineering decisions based on political “feelings”… and, for whatever reason, they have attributed political values to things like X11. The fact that GNOME is on a warpath to remove anything that even *feels* slightly X11-ish (like the “Middle Click Paste”) is bizarre behavior. Worth noting: GNOME has locked this merge request, preventing most general GNOME users or developers from commenting. Why? Because GNOME knows that this change is not going to be popular. And they don’t want to hear your thoughts on it. But GNOME is likely going to do it anyway. Because, for the GNOME leadership, doing something to harm those with the “wrong politics” (in this case, anyone who uses computer features which are common with X11) is more important than doing what their users actually want. It’s weird. It’s all terribly, terribly weird. gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gsetting…
