@shelby_young @TeamYouTube You are right of course. I think they are assuming content like yours is going to appeal to kids anyway (or be surfaced often enough in their searches) so they want those additional features/constraints to apply. The label they use is just dumb/dishonest marketing speak.
English

@TeamYouTube But how does flagging a video I made that I am telling you myself is not made for kids, helping minors? This still isn’t making sense and I’d love to escalate this issue to a higher up. If there’s someone I could speak to privately, I’d appreciate that info! Thanks
English

If a creator is telling you their content isn't made for kids, why are you pushing for it to be? There's no harm in kids content being seen by adults, but the other way around *CAN* be harmful. Luckily, my content is family friendly but this system seems backwards @TeamYouTube

@shelby_young update: after reviewing our internal policies, we've found that the content has an accurate rating of made for kids. we know this wasn't the outcome you were hoping for, but we really appreciate your understanding

@NateSilver538 Some decent action at MGM National Harbor Thursday nights. There is usually a 5/10/25 running.
Alternatively if you are flying out of BWI MD Live is down the road.
Since I’m sure you have a lot of free time right now.

@EuroExpert_ @Vitu_E For the neutral, the game of ‘what’s the funniest thing that can happen in the game’ has long since switched from 8-0 to 0-1 👹

@ChristianSelig The iPhone X battery pack was the best IMO, the snap-ons are helpful but underpowered like everyone says.
Yeah unfortunately I think they typically take much longer to come out. Last one was the following July. Perhaps shorter this time if it’s just a switch to USB-C
English

@BenPackard Oh do they? I actually didn’t know that haha I thought they’d want to sell them at time of sale

@KrauseFx @andy_matuschak @bryan_johnson Including not just the variety, but the social aspects of human meals, meal preparation, and even the small ways relationships can be reinforced by chatting about what to eat for the 10,000th time (admittedly this last one might cut both ways…)
English

@KrauseFx @andy_matuschak @bryan_johnson Perhaps there is a different mental health component in play for us eating the same meal repeatedly vs our dogs

@MoGutman @Dimillian I thought about this too, but I think it’s better than using size classes since tabs would appear and disappear as you change the window size (I.e iPad multitasking). The idiom isn’t going to change at runtime at least.
English

@Dimillian I think you shouldn’t use idioms because on iPad you can collapse the size of the screen in SlideOver to be compact width.
English

This is the way I manage and architecture my TabView tabs in #SwiftUI (and also my sidebar for iPadOS / macOS). I alway do an enum with my app entry points.

English

@NCucerzan You got me curious. The answer is definitely yes, but here’s what they say about over reporting 🤔🤔🤔

English

@cabel @NCucerzan This is kind of how the wrestling world works. WWE will juice their attendance numbers a fair bit when announced and in post-event press, but the real number can be figured out each quarter from their financial results, where they have to be accurate.
English

@hishnash @NilCoalescing It was replaced with context menus and previews, but they kept the ability to tap the preview to open via `willPerformPreviewActionFor Menu…`
A few more examples from system apps. If you get used to these it really feels weird when you can’t tap on the preview. Maybe one day!
English

@BenPackard @NilCoalescing Yer I remember peek and pop, I thought that was a deprecated behaviour.
English

I was very happy to find that in iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 we can use ControlGroup in context menus in #SwiftUI to show a horizontal strip of action buttons. This didn’t work before! #WWDC23
More info in my post: nilcoalescing.com/blog/ControlGr…

English

@hishnash @NilCoalescing These are all over Apple’s first party apps. You might recall they called or ‘peek and pop’ before the whole thing became context menus.
English

@BenPackard @NilCoalescing What do you expect to happen when you tap the preview?
