@FavouredMost @seeroyalty @gabe_teee Don't mind people who have little or no knowledge of the catholic church. Almost all the JP2, Benedict XVI, and Francis were all called antichrist.
English

@seeroyalty @gabe_teee The Vatican might not survive you say? Like the US will go and take over the Vatican? 🤣 You really don't know what the church has passed through through centuries and it's still standing
English

@RudeNatty @gabe_teee Go and read about the Pope when he was in Peru. You think he's some kind of Daddy GO'S we have in Nigeria that can't confront political leaders. He said it himself "I am not afraid of the Trumps administration".
English

@gabe_teee lol Pope done use style run, e get one truth bomb or conspiracy wey Trump throw give pope baba run for him life. Pope use style say him no go fit debate Trump that he is not a politician, that man knows a lot we don’t know.
English

@TIN6_66 @Ony1nyechi What do you want him to do? Force Tinubu to protect Nigerian Christians. How many of you "I am a catholic" is aware that the catholic church is not against self defense in time of persecution? The Pope can only issue statements, encourage dialogues and religious tolerance.
English

I haven’t been online, so I am just getting updated with what’s happening between the Pope and Trump.
But even as a catholic, a dedicated Catholic as well, I don’t support how the Pope is moving in any way.
Christians all over the world are being killed and massacred by Muslims, he’s the Pope, his first priority should ALWAYS be protecting his flocks.
He has never firmly condemned the killings of Christians in Nigeria, Sudan and even in Iran, his comments are always lackluster and “peaceful”, which no fucking body needs right now.
I don’t see imams speaking out for Christians anywhere, why is the Pope getting involved with politics and defending the people killing Christians?
Jesus taught us about love and peace but this is not it at all, and I refuse to look the other way to avoid criticizing him like other Catholics, I can love you and still call out your bullshits.

English

@AfamDeluxo @wilsonakubobi Pope's apostolic journeys are often planned several months or even years in advance. The Secretariat of State are in charge of his journeys which are often planned with officials of Air Italia. The Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria have a role to play in making the Pope to visit.
English

At this point, I won’t pretend otherwise, he once lived in Nigeria, I expect him to make the protection of Christians there, especially Catholic priests, a clear priority. That’s what truly matters to me. Statements after each tragedy are no longer enough; I believe he should be willing to go beyond protocol and take decisive, meaningful action. He has the influence, he should use it!
English

As a Catholic, I’m still trying to understand the reasoning behind the Pope’s first visit to Africa being centered in a Muslim-majority country, with a visit to a mosque. I genuinely want to know how this approach translates into protection, advocacy, or tangible support for Catholics being slaughtered in Nigeria and beyond.
English

@0xnobi @PaulSkallas Oh please. Just make up a title, get everyone to agree it's important, and go from there.
English

One thing about the pope is that if they abolished his position it would never come back. A global religious authority would not emerge in this world. It has to come from the past. Moderns are unable to create that type of institution. The muslims got rid of their caliph and are unable to bring him back as one example.
There's a lot of things that we can't bring back if they disappeared. Even pre world war 2 neighborhoods. Or old cities.
There are things we can't actually do anymore.

Pope Leo says he has "no fear of the Trump administration" after he was asked about President Trump's Truth Social post calling the pontiff "weak on crime, and terrible for foreign policy." "We are not politicians, we don't deal with foreign policy with the same perspective he might understand it, but I do believe in the message of the Gospel, blessed are the peacemakers."

The late Cardinal Francis George of Chicago once stood on the balcony of St. Peter's beside the newly elected Pope Benedict, looked out toward the Palatine Hill where Roman emperors once reigned, and said:
“Where are their successors? Where is the successor of Caesar Augustus? And finally, who cares?
“But if you want to see the successor of Peter, he is right next to me, smiling and waving at the crowds.“
The Catholic Church has outlived every empire that has tried to take it on.
We will defeat Donald Trump and the MAGA authoritarians.
We will do it for our families. We will do it for the country. And we will do it for Jesus Christ.

@calvinrobinson @DeiGratia64 @FredSimonTLM Our Lord Jesus Christ called some directly to follow Him, some others He visited or helped. His kindness, non-discrimination and miracles became the gospel of conversion. "I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance". Luke 5:32. Read also, 1 Timothy 1:15.
English

Yes. But you are going to have to expand upon that if you believe you are making some kind of point.
Our Lord called people to repentance and to follow Him. He did not leave them in their sin, error or heresy.
Are you somehow suggesting He would eat with Mohammedans and leave them to follow Mohammed?
English

You spend the morning defending the Pope, then you see him reverentially visiting a mosque.🤦♂️
The only time a bishop should visit a mosque is to exorcise it and pray deliverance over it before claiming it for Christ.
Enough with the interfaith dialogue, it looks like pluralism.

🚨 Pope's Selective Outrage: Silence on Christian Blood, Loud on Trump
Question for the Pope:
Why the total silence on the massacre of Christians in Nigeria?
Radical Muslims — the same ones you attack Trump for confronting — stormed Christian communities and churches over Easter weekend and butchered men, women, and children. Dozens slaughtered while celebrating the Resurrection. Not one word from you.
What about Iran’s regime slaughtering its own people — including teenagers and Olympic athletes — during protests? No strong statements. No fiery calls for peace from the Vatican.
But every single time Trump does anything? Instant condemnation.
This isn’t a shepherd protecting his flock. It’s a liberal politician in a clergy vest. And the Catholic Church chose him for exactly that reason.
Catholic leadership: Remember who fought for you when Democrats threw you in jail for your pro-life values? It was the Republicans.
Time to speak up for persecuted Christians worldwide — or admit the double standard.

@SamAmadi Condemning wars is part of preaching the gospel. Jesus is the Prince of Peace, as the Vicar of Christ, every Pope must preach the gospel of peace and dialogues. They must condemn wars/killings. The American media amplified Leo's statements on this war because he is American
English

I Love the Pope.
He should say I little bit about Jesus Christ. He is his Vicar. He should tell the people he visits to repent and accept Jesus Christ as lord and savior. That is what the Vica of Christ should do.
I support his campaign against war. I learn from scripture and history that wars are results of sinful nature, and while we build institutions against war, we should also draw attention to the sins that cause outbreaks of war.
I know there are many things more dangerous than wars: hatred for people, oppression of the poor and injustice to people.
The message should not be only about the ‘unjustness’ of Iran war (I have not seen a good scriptural argument why that war is unjust or just), it should also be about the sinfulness of all rebellions against God and his moral truths, like homosexuality, transgenderism etc

English

@StepheniaOmeh Did you read the Pope's statement? What did he say directly to Trump? Please, read till the end. apnews.com/article/trump-…
English

The fight between Trump and the Pope was orchestrated to happen day one. When Leo was elected Pope, CNN kept asking whether he would fight Trump. The expectation was he would. Prophesy became reality.
This is not good, but orchestrated. How will it end? Not clear yet. But it is not good, perhaps only good for the extreme left who wants to diminish the gospel and the church

English

@TheThalidomide @SamAmadi I will help you bro. Please educate yourself about the catholic church & her operations. Read more about the Pope/governance in the Catholic Church, Diplomacy, Foreign Policy, and Global Social Issues. It will help you. Without bias, emphasis your research on her Neutrality✌️
English

@TheThalidomide @SamAmadi Political leaders can visit the Pope irrespective of party lines. Peter Obi was in the Vatican some years ago. Also, only on health or logistical grounds can a Pope reschedule or cancel an announced visitation to any country. The diplomatic office in the Vatican handles all these
English

Vance & Rubio are functioning in their capacities as the elected/appointed representatives of the USG.
Elected leaders of different countries have had valid public engagements with the pope historically.
However when a pope meets with opposition leaders while declining meeting with the sitting US president, it portrays clear partisanship and he deserves public backlash and criticism for that.
Remember Obama did this to Jonathan in 2014 and we all look back today and see how damaging that move was to Jonathan’s presidency.
Pope Leo is a liberal democrat, he’s way too deep into the socialism spectrum it’s hard to unsee such.

English

@TheThalidomide @SamAmadi Vance & Rubio visited the Pope in 2025. Was the Pope supporting the Republicans then? Remember also that his brother is a Republican. I do not think the Pope supports any party. The Pope is for all, and must maintain the teachings of the church on issues that affect humanity
English

@TheThalidomide @SamAmadi Pope Francis criticized Trump. He even published statements on some political trends in America at that time. He condemned Trump walls, he referred to it as "not christian" Popes John Paul and Benedict also opposed the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya etc.
English

@SamAmadi Dr, the Pope is indirectly the head of christians in the world. Pope Leo has always preached that the family is founded on the union between a man and a woman. He is also pro-life. So far, under his leadership, the church teachings on these issues remains unchanged.
English

@charismaticNAZA @SamAmadi The Pope does not control states and her leaders, he guides leaders and everyone toward truth. He upholds the sanctity of life and calls for dialogue and peace, not war. The Pope is Independent of political authority, he stands as a global moral leader.
English
