I’m bullish going into the end of October. Here’s why: 1) Earnings season just started — analysts expect strong results, and Big Tech buybacks will resume after the blackout. 2) FOMC next week — market prices in a 25bps cut, and I think Powell will announce the end of QT. 3) Trump–Xi meeting (Oct 31) — clarity here could bring a wave of relief and hopefully end those shenanigans. Also: Gold is rolling over — potential rotation into Bitcoin as a tailwind. A lot of positive catalysts. I think we see a strong finish to the month.

You can try to use a local model the small mistral is runnable on a gpu and should be smart enough to do some things. You would then not call tools but rather give it a prompt where you ask it what to do next, giving a hint on how to think about the problem + chain of thought into json then interpret json into game logic. Refeed model answer to model as a recheck to improve consistency

In the last month, 100,000 people played IsoCity. Incl 5k active coop games. So, I built a new game: Age of Isos. You don't need friends. Play against agents, who get a JSON file with game state and tools to play. I used about 500m tokens per day - all on @cursor_ai. Often, I ran one task in parallel on 8 agents at once - judging how each would make visual changes - better lakes, sprawling mountains, dense forests, etc.

You know what’s crazy? Everyone is using Agents to vibe code. But recent data “suggests” (still early) that talking to AI increases psychosis probability in healthy humans. So no… this is not about people with preconditions. Healthy non psychotic humans that talk to AI increase their psychotic stats.

@MarcJSchmidt I experience the same issues with gemini working via anti gravity. Especially in regards to the workarounds. I often use gemini flash which might result in that behaviour, maybe it’s an issue of context window size?

I've started using Claude Code since Opus 4.5 came out. I was blown away, and immediately used it non-stop for hardcore coding, 14h/day, I was addicted, always hitting limits, so bought two $200/month accounts. Today I cancelled both accounts and switched to Codex 5.2. Why?

Hey Shaw, I’m developing a survival sandbox for agents where they gather resources, manage health, hunger and warmth, and build things like shelters. It’s still in the early stages. Currently running a three-stage control system: 1) LLM for long-term planning 2) LLM to translate these into concrete goals; 3) A hardcoded behaviour tree to translate these into actions. I’m intentionally using a fairly basic Gemma 3:4B for this MVP. However, I am currently preparing to change the control system to a more complex, capable system with a thinking model that can access its own file system, enabling it to perform more complex thinking.

Your framework for views is entirely wrong. First of all it’s not important how many people see the post but rather who sees the post/engages with it. Secondly you can’t expect every topic to get the same amount of views the same is true for the format. A book obviously has less readers than an article on the same topic, the article has less than a tweet because you can read 100 tweets per day but only 1 book every 10-30 days. The topic is also pretty niche, tbh. I think 60k is pretty viral for that.

ChatGPT 5.2 is a wake up call. Ever since the release of Gemini 3 I feel like being in crypto and ignoring AI is bad trade. We are living through the most important technological shift since the internet and still argue over worthless memecoins. Being fully locked in crypto and ignoring AI in late 2025 comes with a gigantic opportunity cost. I‘m not saying crypto won’t recover (I‘m actually quite constructive for Q1 2026), but there is a price we pay for narrowing into crypto — an industry that’s arguably very competitive and efficient. AI on the other hand is wide open and the opportunities to express your creativity feel endless. Don’t get me wrong; launching a business or generating an income outside of crypto is extremely hard. In case you wonder: Gemini Flash is Google’s new frontier-level model, based on Gemini 3, but significantly smaller—therefore faster & cheaper to use. Smaller but smarter models are an AI trend that we will continue to see in 2026. The frontier labs are using their large reasoning models to generate datasets, which are then used to finetune much smaller models. This is making them almost identical in capabilities, but much more efficient.

The brain rot is scrolling through Twitter all day instead of doing little side projects. We are entering a world where you must be very careful about your consumption behaviour, and the ratio between how much you consume and create will become increasingly important. AI-generated content will become better, eventually so good that even the biggest sceptics derive pleasure from it. One needs to protect oneself from that & a good strategy is to stop the consuming behaviour and start creating stuff (even if it's just vibe-coded side projects).

I believe crypto is reaching an inflection point. As excess capital leaves the space, liquid markets stop rewarding bad ideas, low quality talent leaves, etc... While there's still excess in venture markets and high quality liquid projects, the pace of innovation and focus on fundamentals is picking up. Direction of talent and capital may still be negative, but think we're starting to get the necessary market structure and pricing for the 1st derivative to be positive and increasing.
