The Beatles Abbey Road billboard standing over the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles in 1969. Shortly after it went up, someone climbed the structure and sawed off the head of Paul McCartney. This played right into the rumors going around at the time that Paul had died.

Let me tell y'all something about my brother. He’s 6'2", 220 pounds, a 22 year-old professional soccer player who has never been sick a day in his life. Last night he came home from an away game. Before he even sat down, he went straight to the kitchen, pulled out a full rotisserie chicken, and ate it cold, standing up over the sink. Then he made himself a bowl of cereal the size of a mixing bowl three different cereals combined and poured two full glasses of orange juice directly into it instead of milk. He sat down at the table and looked at his creation like he’d just invented something beautiful. After that, he grabbed a whole cheesecake from the fridge (one I didn’t even know we had) and finished half of it while watching film of his own goals from last season. He gets only one to three hours of sleep a night, never drinks coffee, and never gets sick. His nutritionist has already quit twice. Last week, I finally confronted him about his eating habits because I genuinely don’t understand how he’s still performing at this elite level. He looked at me completely calm, took a slow bite of whatever he was eating, and said: “You’re a disappointing sandwich architect.” We weren't even discussing about sandwich. He recently got into an argument with his club’s chef because they ran out of cheesecake at the team hotel the night before a League match. He filed a formal complaint and it actually went through. His coach thinks he’s a genius. His teammates think he’s a lunatic. They’re both right. I just don’t want him to retire early. I want him to eat healthy.

My bro in suburban Denver says there's an absolute "plague" of kids on e-bikes and e-dirtbikes bombing around the streets and neighborhoods at high speeds. 7-14 year old boys equipped with capabilities they're not mature enough to handle safely, drive like banshees through yards and intersections and golf courses etc. I don't see too many of those here in small town TX and when I do they don't seem to be terrorizing anyone. Curious if this is happening where you live or not. Is this a big deal?

5 years ago, a major bank put an extra zero on my deposit by mistake and turned it into a six figure deposit. I immediately withdrew the money and went on a shopping spree at Saks. About 30 days later, the bank realized their mistake and sent me 3 certified threatening letters to return the funds. I sent this letter to my attorney who said they could not charge me with anything and nothing happened to me. 😂

Our dishwasher is one of the highest-paid positions in the restaurant. If a line cook calls out, you always have 2-3 that can cover. If a server calls out, others can take more tables. If a dishwasher calls out, the entire restaurant is at a standstill. It's easily an 80K per year job in CA.
Frank Luntz@FrankLuntz

Restaurants are finding it harder than ever to hire people to wash dishes. More than 12 million people work in the U.S. restaurant industry. Dishwashers’ pay averages around $32,500 a year, ranking in the bottom third of restaurant jobs. wsj.com/economy/jobs/r…

I hate to break it to people my age, but in 30 years your adult kids are going to look at your Funko Pops, Labubus, action figures, and Warhammer 40K collections the same way we look at boomer ceramic angel collections. That shit is going straight to the thrift store when you die.

Friends, stop drinking alcohol. Not cut back. Eliminate. > alcohol increases cortisol > disrupts REM sleep > accelerates epigenetic aging > shrinks hippocampal volume > elevates resting heart rate > raises inflammatory markers > impairs glucose metabolism for 16 hrs One drink does that.

Dude is getting absolutely SAVAGED in the comments, and rightfully so. If you can’t read 300 pages in a week then a Humanities degree is probably not going to be for you, especially if it’s a grad degree. Intensive reading and writing is basically 80% of the game, people.
nur@nourician

200-300 pages a week is fucking delusional. people have jobs and responsibilities – their time is less free than ever!!! a lot of the shit they assign as readings in the humanities is also total garbage lmfao, maybe 30-40% is worth reading

Been to Denver twice and I swear every place I went to was like 2:1 or 3:1 guys to girls. I was told by the girls that they call it “Menver”. One of the cities with worst nightlife experience I’ve been to which quite was surprising to me. Was pretty cool town otherwise.
Kalle📸@KalleSorbo

Denver is by all accounts the only city on earth with: -Teams in all four major American sports leagues -Thriving music and arts scene -An economy large enough for real enterprise and wealth building opportunity -Access to both Winter and Summer outdoor recreation with ease

If the average American started walking 10,000 steps per day and replaced the sweets they eat each day with 3-5 of these….the obesity epidemic would be over before Summer 2026 ends Not an exaggeration

weightlossmessiah@shredwithQpid

People who dismiss walking as 'not real exercise' have never tracked a consistent 10,000 steps daily for 3 months alongside a proper diet and then looked at their body composition. Walking is underrated by everyone who hasn't tried it seriously.

People always ask me why I'm so private about my personal life, Well this is why. During my first year of college I was rooming with someone I had known since we were kids, we grew up together, told each other everything...... This is the kind of friendship you think is built different because it survived high school. Back to the story, I always keep a journal, Wrote in it every single day. Kept it somewhere I was certain nobody could get to it. Came back from class one afternoon to find her sitting in the middle of the room with a group of people. Reading from it. Out loud. Performing it like it was entertainment. She had gone out of her way to get into it too, she made a deliberate decision to break in and expose me in front of an audience. I stood there in that doorway and something shifted in me permanently that day. We have not spoken since and it has been over thirty years.
