We identified and fixed an issue where runners could equip larger-than-expected stacks of equipment (grenades, ammo boxes, etc.). This has been resolved with a server-side fix. For now, if you hold a stack of equipment greater than supported, the extra items will be lost upon infil. In the future, we will fix the UI error that allows these larger-than-expected stack sizes to occur. The fix that is now deployed will also reduce the rate of anteater errors in-run.

Cryo and Ranked are coming and we're excited to see players battle it out over Tau Ceti and traverse into the big scary moon-like ship in the sky. We've put out a few posts about Cryo, poured through the variety of comments and feedback we've seen so far, and wanted to take some time to explain some of the initial decisions we've made around Cryo and Ranked with regards to weekend scheduling. So without further ado, here's what we have been thinking: We are of course always iterating and are open to looking at other options in the future, but the Ranked/Cryo Archive weekend decision is really built around three points: - Preparing: We acknowledge that players will lose a lot of gear on Cryo and Ranked because it is intended to challenge you to your limits. As a result of that, it's important that Cryo and Ranked feel like an event you can schedule towards, grind gear up to do, etc. The loop of spend time grinding gear to spend it in Cryo or Ranked is reflected in this choice as a weekly cycle. - Economy Talk: We have some great rewards on Cryo that kind of break the bank when it comes to economy and power gain. If we were to look at having it open all the time, we'd probably have to adjust how frequently you can earn these rewards so that we don't flood the game with amazing loot all of a sudden. - Logistics Time: Cryo and Ranked both have entry requirements (gear ante) that are built around the idea of you matching with other players on an equal investment level. They also both have a high level requirement to ensure you've experienced enough of the game to understand the challenges inherent to the game. This inherently makes the amount of people in that queue at any time unpredictable. Both of these experiences also need a consistent flow of players in the queue to make sure matches are full to retain the challenge. To reduce the match times and allow players to find matches quicker, making it a scheduled event means more players will show up during that window and feed the queue pool better. We also acknowledge that there are likely some who cannot participate on the weekend or are excited about the experience and want to no-life it for weeks, and we appreciate that. We'll be looking into what we can do to retain these considerations and potentially accommodate this in the future. Things we may iterate on in the future: - Staggering Ranked and Cryo queues more so they overlap less - Looking at changing the days we do either Cryo or Ranked - Changing the ante values of Cryo or Ranked - Looking at any other conditions (solo experience, crew fill experience, etc.) and iterating on it! Marathon is an evolving game and part of evolving is seeing how this initial launch plays out and adjusting as we go =). @MarathonArchive Zero. Game is already intense enough which is totally fine but I will just be hanging out in normal mode. I appreciate that Bungie sticking with the hard core vision they had for the game but ranked will definitely not be for me. Excited to see the rage videos though 😆.

@megrogs26 Nothing close for me. We use it for everything and pay it off every month. Then deposit the 3% back evey month into my divy account. App is smooth, adding users easy, tracking spend easy. Wish I had a higher limit because im close to credit cycling now.

I would like to experience more of Marathons storyline quest stuff but encountering multiple purple shield railgun snipers playing death match when I only have green unlocked is really getting in the way

‼️MARATHON RANKED MODE - Launches in 4 days - 6 Ranks, Ranging from Bronze to Pinnacle with 3 subdivisions in each - Will have a "gear ante" that must be met with your loadout - Must also purchase a Holotag to set your score target, you must meet or exceed your score target to make progress - Holotags can be stolen from defeated Runners - Failing to meet the crews score target will result in no Ranked progress - Failing to exfil will result in a loss of Ranked progress equal to your crews loss penalty - All players have "low stakes" zones and Plat+ have "high stakes" zones - Zones rotate each week - Cosmetic rewards to show off ranks

@Arrrrash I feel like the whole lobby shows up regardless even if I don't make a sound lol. I have fun with the game but I've been getting beat up lately. Need to rethink how im playing and approaching engagements.

After rocking a full night of Marathon last night. I don't think I like the sound changes. It seemed like ever time we fought a squad, the whole lobby would show up. And sometimes that was cool because if we came out alive the rest of the run was free, but sometimes it was just annoying to get 3rd/4th partied

@MarathonTheGame finally started enjoying the game but the audio change is not needed...turns into rush the poi for third patys Also. The number of teams on dire marsh is one too many.

@TauCetiGG I enjoy playing it. Solid game however I suck at it lol and keep mida in business with the sponsor kit. Clean up the ui/ux fix a few qol items and it will be even better.

It's been exactly one week since Marathon came out. What are your thoughts on the game right now?

Didn’t have beefing with Mike Alfred on my bingo card, but I guess his ego got bruised after I ratioed his little “gotcha” comment on my post. You know what’s worse than someone hating on a person doing better than them? Someone who’s already in a strong financial position still trying to dunk on people doing worse than them financially. To me, that’s the lowest form of character. It’s a strange mix of narcissism and ego that’s honestly hard to wrap your head around. Fam, we need to follow people who spread positivity and genuinely want to see others win. Not the ones pumping penny stocks to hundreds of thousands of followers, engagement farming for clicks, and then taking time out of their day to try and drag someone down. @TheTrueVanguard I'm barely average at best playing this but I do enjoy it. It's so brutal that I just want to get back in there and run again...kind of a dark souls vibe lol. Game needs improvements around UI/UX for sure but it's solid underneath.

I'm really sorry to the haters but Marathon, I think, has some staying power. I don't even like extraction shooters, and I can't stop playing.
