@selway_chris @ChargeUK_ @osprey_ian @MotabilityOps @Motability @MotorFuelGroup @BBCAccessAll @Channel4News @DrFrancesRyan @EVAEOfficial @FullyChargedShw @johnpringdns @LordOrk We HEAR you Chris. ChargePoint Network Operators have now had 2 years of guidance and access to the BSI: PAS 1899. So any new installs coming should be much more accessible and the grace period is up. We will be publishing network scores soon on compliance and improvement.

Our Managing Director Stuart Douglas recently met with Kate Tyrrell, Co-Founder of @EVChargeSafe where they discussed how we’ve worked together to create a secure, user-friendly EV charging network. Also read our website blog for further information: bit.ly/4dXAMwp

@elonmusk I think the focus actually really needs to be on user safety and accessibility. Now that would be a positive direction for the supercharger network. Currently, it scores as one of the worst @EVChargeSafe networks in the UK for personal safety and accessibility considerations.

Another day, another comment piece in the Telegraph that: a) has a pop at EVs b) says stuff about EVs that is pretty misleading This one, by @RossjournoClark, also says some fairly misleading things about road pricing So here's a thread to correct the narrative - buckle up!

The @REAssociation are hosting a birthday party for me next week. Except they call it a “conference” and keep suggesting it’s actually all about understanding the EV landscape with expert panels, fresh insights and networking. So who’s coming to my party? 😂💚⚡️ Link below 👇

This is so important. Our inspection is influenced by BSI PAS 1899 and goes above and beyond when looking specifically at accessibility measures. It’s important we get this right first time.

Calls for all public EV charging sites to have accessible charging mandated are growing louder with Baroness Jenny Randerson backing the likes of ChargeSafe, Motability Foundation and RECHARGE UK in calling for Government action.  transportandenergy.com/2024/03/26/cal… @REAssociation

@timoldland @ashridgepf Yes, but they’ll still be away from the shop front. It doesn’t make sense to have a stationary car or 4 in front of the window for 45 minutes. And you can’t get away from the fact that a single vulnerable person has to sit there at night on their own.

I’ve made a few posts recently where I’m very negative about certain EVs, had a few comments asking if I’m ‘realising my mistake’. No, FFS. No. I’ve been very negative about certain aspects of current EV design that are really pissing me off. Over complication, weight increases, focusing on performance, stupid features that nobody cares about and £100,000 vajazzles. EVs are very much the future, but manufacturers need to focus on smaller, cheaper, lighter EVs to get mass adoption. Tesla needs to get the Model 2 done, not stupid Cyberturds. Mainstream manufacturers need to get Golf sized cars out there that don’t weigh 2 tonnes. It’s a half-arsed approach currently and really needs to change. ~Ends~

@Ryanbybike Ease of payment is so important, it cannot be underestimated how many people do not have an RFID. We will take a look at the site, thank you for flagging it up!
