If I remember correctly, a certain former youth pastor/state representative did resign and was still expelled. I wonder if Congress can do that. Also, I have two names they should add to their list but part of me wonders if they did this to avoid having to get rid of Mills as well.

@bradj_TX @JohnCornyn There is no such thing as a "pro-Cornyn conservative" because Cornyn is about as far from a conservative as a Republican can get. Massive spending, never ending war, and gun control are things RINOs support.

You’re supporting a flagrant adulterer that spent a decade cheating on his wife and is now trying to destroy her in divorce court and destroyed multiple other staffers lives because they wouldn’t cover up that affair and you’re going after Cornyn? The Attorney General wouldn’t even put out an opinion on stopping children from being transitioned for 179 days and 240 days so that those opinion showed up during an election. He’s a vile SOB that doesn’t care about anyone but himself.

@bradj_TX Ahhh. Cornyn taking full advantage of campaign rules that allow candidates to lie in ads. 🙄 Nothing says “I respect Texans” like willfully lying to them.

@BetterDumpDJT @abrahamgeorge How does that work? President Trump didn’t even vote in Republican primaries until he ran for office. He wouldn’t be able to run?

@abrahamgeorge Closed primaries will be a tremendous victory. Also banning non-participant "Republicans" from running under the party banner, would prevent a lot of vanity campaigns from people who have no investment in developing the party.

Thankfully these two members of Congress resigned today because survivors spoke up. If you have been waiting to see whether this system could hold someone accountable - today it did. If you have a story, there are people ready to hear it. Your silence has never been the problem. The people who put you in that position were. This is your contact: @OliviaMesser

If you harass or assault someone at work in the real world, you get fired. No severance, no second chances, your career is over and your name is on record. Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX) is under Ethics investigation for alleged sexual misconduct toward a staffer in his own office. That staffer later died by suicide. A second staffer has also come forward recently with other disturbing allegations. He’s still in Congress. Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) was just accused by a former staffer of several sexual assault incidents. Multiple other women have come forward as well. He’s still running for governor of California. He is still in Congress. He denies all allegations. One from each party - because this behavior isn’t partisan. Predators with power use their position to exploit the people who trusted them enough to work for them. In the world outside of politics, we don’t let predators keep their jobs. We don’t let them hide behind closed-door settlements paid for with your tax dollars. In 2023 the Texas House unanimously expelled a member for the first time in over 100 years for very similar offenses. Should these members be found guilty through the due process the are are accorded Congress should immediately do the same. Bring integrity back. #txlege x.com/cnn/status/204…

@Frost544 @nypost If you get rid of all cell phones and social media, sure. Because you probably already had the same amount of stuff just not caught on camera.

With the spirit of finally getting rid of these congressional members in sex scandals I know quite a few people that better watch their backs and maybe want to consider making some career changes now.

@NotMikeHarlow Completely agree I think it’s terrible for X and it’s terrible for society because people are so desperate to say whatever they can because that’s how they get paid.

I got demonetized! Seems selective, but how about just demonetize everyone and improve the platform? The worst thing X ever did was introduce monetization. It turned everything into the lowest form of phony clickbate. 🚨BREAKING: Do you agree? How does that make you feel? 🤔
