During my recent visit to The Highlands, over 100 older Mainers not only shared their hopes for the future of the state, but also how they'd like to contribute to making that future a reality. As the state with the oldest average age in the country, older Mainers have a lot to offer our communities and our economy, and as governor I look forward to engaging with them in new ways for the betterment of the state.

Btw everyone that’s the area Trump opened. It’s gonna have very little impact on Maine fishermen if any at all.

When I was in Minneapolis, I heard a number of crazy stories. But near the top of the list: A couple of off duty ICE and CBP officers were going to dinner in Minneapolis. They were doxed and their location revealed, and the restaurant was then mobbed. The officers were locked in the restaurant, and local police refused to respond to their pleas for help (as they've been directed by local authorities). Eventually, their fellow federal agents came to their aid. This is just a taste of what's happening in Minneapolis because state and local officials refuse to cooperate with immigration enforcement. They have created the chaos so they can have moments like yesterday, where someone tragically dies and politicians get to grandstand about the evils of enforcing the border. The solution is staring everyone in the face. I hope authorities in Minneapolis stop this madness.

@ericmmatheny Not a valid analogy. DUI checkpoints follow strict administrative and procedural protocol with judicial consent and public notification. What’s happening in MN is a clown show with wannabe LEOs.

I carry a gun, legally. Let’s say I don’t like DUI enforcement. I think people should have the right to drive drunk. I see a DUI stop, I park my car, I get out with my gun in my hip holster, and aggressively confront the cops while they’re conducting sobriety tests.

@BoringBiz_ @cornoisseur Tax policy changes could certainly help. A lot of boomers here in the Northeast own multiple homes. They buy and sell them regardless of interest rates which leads me to believe tax policy makes it easy for them to shuffle cash in and out of real estate with ease.

One of the most significant moments from the Trump Davos speech was when he said the quiet part out loud You cannot lower housing costs for young people without destroying millions in wealth for boomers "Every time you make it more affordable for somebody to own a house cheaply, you are actually hurting the value of those houses. I don't want to do anything to hurt the value of their house. If I wanted to crush the housing market, I could do that so fast that people could buy houses. But you would destroy people who already have houses." Our politicians are sacrificing people in their 20s and 30s for the prosperity of boomers Let that sink in
