100% correct. When I was at the Del Rio, TX Haitian bridge camp in 2021, many of the Haitians told me they had been living in Chile & Brazil for years before coming to the US illegally for economic (not safety) reasons. The Haitians were dumping & tearing up their Chilean documents at the river’s edge hide this fact from the US so it wouldn’t hurt their fraudulent asylum claims. The idea that all these Haitians came directly from Haiti after an earthquake or assassination is false. Many of them were living happily and safely for years in South America until Biden’s open border policies became too attractive to pass up. Others also flew into the US via Biden’s CHNV mass parole program which was supposed to be for only 2 year humanitarian parole grants. Of course, most never left.

This morning at coffeeshop. I'm reading newspaper. A woman says, "It's so nice to see someone reading a real paper. You look like, I dunno, like something. Like the epitome of a good happy neighborhood." Immediately after, in the seat she was sitting in, a Brazilian woman in heavy makeup and an elaborate dress sits down and starts talking in portuguese at the top of her lungs into her phone on a facetime call, maximum volume, no headphones. Enraged, I give multiple death stares, which she ignores. I can't take it anymore and I say, "you don't have headphones?" "No I do not sir, is it really bother you that much?" "Yes it does. This is a nice quiet neighborhood coffee shop." "Well would it make any difference if I was talking to a friend in person?" "Yes it would. Do you do this on the airplane too? " She refuses to budge. I put headphones in and make a work call and say loudly, "Sorry bro a stupid woman just sat next me and started screaming into her phone....These ignorant people man!" At this she gets up and leaves. While I have never disputed the ability of the President to end Temporary Protected Status (TPS), I strongly disagree with ending Haitian TPS at this time. First, the situation on the ground in Haiti is a humanitarian and political disaster and continues to warrant an extension. The State Department has a level 4 travel advisory telling all Americans to evacuate and not travel there precisely because the gangs are in charge of the country, engaged in gun and drug trafficking, and kidnapping innocent Haitians. We want to root it out and allow for a stable government to be establish with a free a fair election, creating the conditions for a safe return for Haitians. Second, of the 350,000+ lawful Haitian TPS holders, roughly 1/3rd work in our healthcare system. Immediately shutting off TPS will create a crisis in our hospitals, nursing homes, and in the I/DD community. I’m asking the administration to allow for an orderly process by which Haitian TPS holders can maintain their work authorization while their immigration cases are adjudicated over the next six months, if the revocation of TPS moves forward. Furthermore, I believe the Senate should take up my legislation with Congresswoman Gillen to temporarily extend Haitian TPS to address these issues.

Contre cette hypocrisie qui pleure « l’insécurité » un jour et défend les « jeunes des cités » le lendemain. Contre ces intellectuels qui n’ont jamais mis les pieds dans une cité sensible après 20h et qui nous traitent de « fachos » dès qu’on ose nommer le chaos. Contre cette gauche morale qui préfère la vertu signalétique à la sécurité des Français ordinaires. Et contre cette droite molle qui promet des fermetés qu’elle ne tient jamais une fois au pouvoir. Louis est mort comme on meurt aujourd’hui en France : lâchement, collectivement, dans l’indifférence organisée. Sa mort crie ce que beaucoup refusent d’entendre : le lien social s’est brisé. Il ne reste plus que des tribus, des prédateurs et des proies. Le « vivre-ensemble » est un mensonge sanglant. Le contrat est nul et non avenu. À vous, responsables : assumez. Ou dégagez. Parce que le peuple, lui, n’oubliera pas. La colère noire n’est plus contenue. Elle gronde, elle s’organise, elle exige. Restaurer l’ordre, la fermeté, les frontières, la justice réelle.
