Alright so I want to clarify a few things with this (hard to do in a tweet) but the thing I really regret is writing the “Welcome to Hughes week” piece in the first place. What needed to be made clear: Hughes Week is not a week of articles celebrating Quinn Hughes.

Both Stenberg and McKenna would be great for the Canucks. This vendetta against Swedish players as if Willander/E. Pettersson2 aren't future top pieces of their defense is silly.

Until Hughes dominates in the playoffs, I'll remain open-minded to the trade. Against Vegas in the bubble, he got beaten up. Kiefer Sherwood beat him up so bad Hughes became his agent. Size matters in the playoffs when space to operate shrinks. Love Rossi, Buium, & Ohgren so far.

Stenberg is bigger than McKenna. Stenberg plays a heavier game than McKenna. He is more physically engaged than McKenna.
Also, some of y'all don't seem to understand how hard English is to learn. Even if 90% of Swedes are Fluent in English, there are many regional and cultural nuances that are hard for non native speakers to pick up on.
Swedish verbs do not change based on subject, they lack a direct translation to "ing" (continuous tense), and most of them struggle with Third Person Singular.
Now take all of those struggles and imagine trying to understand Hockey Slang in a non-native language.
