साल 2023 में राष्ट्रीय चिकित्सा आयोग ने नए MBBS कॉलेजों के लिए नए मानक UGMSR 2023 जारी किए। जिसमें श्वसन रोग, रेस्पीरेट्री मेडीसिन, टीबी, Chest को अनिवार्य विभाग सूची से हटा दिया गया है। इसके परिणाम स्वरूप नए मेडिकल कॉलेजों में श्वसन रोग का विभाग रखना जरूरी नहीं रहेगा। MBBS छात्रों को टीबी, अस्थमा जैसी बीमारियों का परीक्षण नहीं मिलेगा। हमारे देश में सबसे ज्यादा टीबी रोगी हैं। इस विभाग को हटाना टीबी उन्मूलन के लक्ष्य को कमजोर करता है। इसलिए सरकार को इस मामले पर ध्यान देना चाहिए। : राज्यसभा में @shaktisinhgohil जी
