@UniqueSAProblem @ThinkLicence I got hit by a van driver last winter (He hadn't scraped his windscreen, pulled out of a junction and hit me). It wasn't that hard, but enough to ping me onto the opposite side of the road. It's really scary not knowing if you're about to go under the wheels of another vehicle.

I think people need to overlook their dislike, and distrust of Trump, to see the picture that is in front of them. I see a lot of people leaning toward open hostility due to their default dislike of Trump. Educate yourself.

@ThinkLicence Killed? I think that's a bit overdramatic. You're right, the cyclist doesn't have to give way. Neither do drivers when they see other vehicles trying to back, or turn into traffic. But they do - it's called 'courtesy' something largely lacking in some people.

@UniqueSAProblem Consider this, if the cyclist was supposed (under your rule) to give way but did not, would the cyclist be at fault for a collision? If so there could be no blame attributed to the driver even though the car cut across the cyclist’s path and killed him.

Ah yes, that famously crystal clear bit of the Highway Code that definitely says cyclists must magically disappear so drivers can overtake buses without the mild inconvenience of waiting. Really keeps the roads safe for the hard working drivers.

@UniqueSAProblem In that case the fire truck shouldn’t have had permission to enter the runway.

I wonder why air traffic control didn’t tell the Air Canada aircraft to go around - rather than waste time getting a truck to move?

Buses are slow and inconvenient because you jokers have built an infrastructure around cars. Build the transport infra around buses, trams, and trains. Watch them become faster than cars, not get stuck in traffic, and people enjoy more people-space.
Richard Wellings@RichardWellings

Buses are hideously slow and inconvenient. You have to walk to the stops, wait around, and can't carry much either. By forcing people to use buses instead of cars they're severely restricting mobility and access to job, retail and leisure opportunities. birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-…

@QuadeCooper Another thing I'd like to see as a standard rule is when playing advantage, as soon as the team with the advantage puts boot to the ball, advantage is over.

I’ve been watching a lot of Rugby lately, and it got me thinking about how we could speed the game up and open it up a bit more. One idea I had, hear me out. To encourage more offloads and reduce the number of rucks, what if when a team knocks the ball on, they’re not allowed to touch it next which currently results in a scrum. If they do, it’s a long arm penalty. That gives the opposition guaranteed first rights to the ball. They can pick it up and play immediately with a backward pass, or if they want to slow it down, it could work similar to an AFL mark and you have 10 seconds to resume play or it’s a turn over again. If you step off the mark, you’re live and can be tackled. The goal is simple, reward teams that want to play fast, create more chaos, and reduce stoppages? Questions - would this ruin our beautiful game and allow less skilled players to play (which is what most people want inclusivity) Would it make it slower? Faster? There’s nothing wrong with our game?

@VehicleTracker8 Obviously an accident. Why would they immediately stop and get out to help her if it was on purpose?
