@Polymarket It dropped 1.3%
@grok what percent of teens participate in the job market today vs 1940?
English

@Gfilche @nebulaVibe9 @Tesla Should be sent to your app with a screenshot of the dashcam. Do it from phone after, not in car.
English

@nebulaVibe9 @Tesla If there was a way to remove it easily like swipe away that would be awesome
English

@JTLonsdale @InternetH0F why would it sit unfinished? you lazy?
English

@wholemars Isn't the future so bright that you don't need to just shill and advertise for the most basic product? I love Tesla and all but it's pretty disheartening that you are literally here posting about a base product in 2026. Feels like the mojo is missing.
English

A new Tesla starts at $36,990 before any incentives
Used ones are even cheaper. And it drives itself.

Kalshi@Kalshi
JUST IN: The average cost of a new car hits near record high of $51,613
English

@wholemars @net_runner_ Why did it not outsell a single other Tesla model?
English

@net_runner_ Then why did it outsell all other electric trucks?
English

@itskyleconner @drewwelker64 @comma_ai I would love to see out of Spec family addition. Maybe some day Kyle?
English

@drewwelker64 @comma_ai True - no kids here so not a consideration for my usage. Lane centering everywhere fixed with comma
English

For me, there’s not a single more useful vehicle than a R1T
Tow rig, track truck, farm truck, daily driver, dog hauler, office space, off road adventurer etc
With the addition of useful ADAS thanks to @comma_ai, this is the vehicle I use for just about everything.
Of course specialty cars are still needed, diesel for long distance towing heavy / 3 pedals for the fun stuff etc but if there ever had to be a 1 car solution, this would be it for me.

English

Diesel used to be cheaper because it was simpler to refine and demand was lower.
Around 2006, clean-air rules forced refineries to make ultra-low-sulfur diesel. That extra scrubbing step costs more (billions in upgrades).
Trucks, trains, farms, and exports create steady heavy demand. Refineries are often set up more for gasoline. Federal tax is also ~6¢/gal higher on diesel.
Result: since ~2004, diesel has usually cost more at the pump than gas. Demand + cleaner fuel rules flipped it.
(Recent spikes make it even wider right now.) Simple as that. 🐶
English

This is not overthinking it. You share the road with manual drivers. Camping in their blind spot is bad driver behavior. Maybe 20 years in the future when every car is a robot that will not be a worry but there will be a long transition time and i sure as hell don't want to drive in a vehicle doing dumb stuff like that. I don't know why Tesla hasn't trained out these dumb behaviors yet.
English

@StantonJenkinsX In standard I can’t even get over to the left lane in Texas. You’re over thinking this. But fortunately your overthinking is irrelevant
English

Ok so we definitely all agree that the fishbowl design creates a sun-powered oven 🤷🏼♂️
Sawyer Merritt@SawyerMerritt
Tesla China has released its first ever retractable sunshade for the Model Y for 1,499 yuan ($236 USD). Very easy to install. I hope they launch this globally, because I will absolutely buy this.
English

@MichaelTGlynn @wholemars The sweet spot is the Arcadia, Grand Highlander, Telluride size. Big 3 rows that aren't the big big haulers. I hope Tesla is both those markets at some point but more volume in the med market 3 row (but go to the big side of that).
English

@wholemars That would be a big seller IMHO. Competitor to Chevy Suburban. There is a huge market for this type of vehicle in the US. Model Y XL is way too small for a 3rd row of seats.
English

@wholemars If
9" min ground clearance
Fits full size dog crate behind 2nd row
Camera washers included
450 mile EPA range
Yes.
English

@grok @farzyness @grok what do a gb300 is that considered a blackwell gpu?
How does this compare to the rest of the industry? What software would that be using? I assume Nvidia stack?
English

SpaceX is building their own custom software from scratch, written in the basic C language, to train giant AI models as fast as possible.
It's designed for a massive cluster of 220,000 next-gen GPUs (GB300s) hooked up with ultra-fast 800G networks. They use pipeline parallelism and run it super close to the raw hardware with zero waste.
Result: could train big AI jobs over 10x faster than Google's usual JAX framework.
English

Hey @grok explain this to me like I’m extremely retarded.
Elon Musk@elonmusk
SpaceX has almost finished writing V1.0 of an in-house AI training stack in C that exact-maps to 220k GB300s with 800G NICs, making heavy use of pipeline parallelism and getting as close to bare metal as possible. The potential speed improvement vs JAX for large training runs is over an order of magnitude.
English

@RidleyDM @iRexia_ @romanhelmetguy Yet. But if the tech bros have their way, lookout. Revolutions tend to be bloody.
English

@mfranz_on @somaco_sf Didn't plants start immediately evolving to look like the crop when this was first tied? Nature goes hard. Models will have to evolve faster than nature.
English

@somaco_sf Nice story😁 computer vision application are almost infinite. The fire-detection application would be really interesting
English

@farzyness Ya no kidding Farzad, thats why all of use want a 3 row SUV with FSD. A two seater utility vehicle for ride share is so boring.
English

There's an UNBELIEVABLE use case for regional trips in the US that will decimate air travel and buses.
Fully autonomous Tesla Robovans outfitted as long-haul first-class "buses".
These would run routes similar to Amtrak or Greyhounds, but with First-Class-like comfort, amenities, and space.
The price per seat of these can be the same as a bus, but FAR more comfortable and FAR more luxurious.
Can obviously optimize the interior for the best configuration but MAN. This would absolutely KILL.

English

@HighRollaKrush2 @SpaceX @Starlink There are cameras all over Starship. Many we never see images from.
