Alright fine, I'll just drive the Y L manually 😅 And yes, it's a beautiful car. (Hopefully FSD comes soon)

What do you think will be the last V14 update we get before TeslaAI moves onto V15?

In all of this reporting on the amazing leaps achieved with 14.3.3 (and some minor hiccups), I failed to mention how awesome the spring update has been! “Hey Grok” is game changing.

FSD V14.3.3 First Impressions Drive This version feels really good, but does still have some lingering issues unfortunately - and some new quirks too. Destination parking was REALLY good every single time we parked - but then I did have an issue where it backed (very slowly) into a curb... something I have not had FSD ever (?) do. The driving felt smooth, but there are still some brake jitters at time. The new features in the spring update are great to have though! Enjoy youtu.be/FOviKHsssnA

@tony_d_2003 @DrKnowItAll16 An obvious tragedy. But considering in the time it took me to write this response approx 3 human drivers got themselves killed or others killed I’ll take my chances with FSD while I supervise its decisions.

@StantonJenkinsX @DrKnowItAll16 Do you want names? Start with Maggie Espinosa of Batavia, IL. Yeah she’s dead, left behind five children. All because she rode in a car with a friend who was using FSD.

Gamifying fsd is a fantastic idea!
Whole Mars Catalog@wholemars

Wow, Elon wasn’t kidding. 14.3.3 is absolutely a banger. As you can see here i’ve used self-driving every day for the last 3 days, and have gone 41.3 miles without intervention on 14.3.3 This is first truly refined build of FSD 14.3.3. It is the first build that surpasses 14.2.2.5 in polish. In my opinion, this is the first version that should have gone wide. 14.3.2, while great, was often a little jumpy or jerky due to its increased reaction time. When the reaction time increases the model often gets a little jumpy until it is retuned. That seems to have happened now. With each little point release I feel the model coming to life. The way it slows down ever so slightly (~1 mph) when it can’t see over the hill, the way it eases in when it sees a bumpy section of the road. It’s so refined. The way it responds instantly when it sees the car next to it veering into its lane. Like wow, even I can’t drive that smoothly and react that quickly. Tesla is by far the gold standard in self-driving comfort. With each build it feels more and more like a personal robotaxi. It can now even operate driverlessly at up to 8 miles per hour. Kudos to the Tesla AI team. You mother fuckers are absolutely COOKING! Send it wide… replace 14.3.2 with this right away. Also love the new self-driving streaks feature. Gamifying self-driving usage is a very smart way to make sure people only intervene when absolutely required, increasing the signal to noise ratio of interventions in the dataset. Please make this available via fleet telemetry so people can compare to see who has the longest streak easily

FSD v14.3.3 parked the wrong way and hit the curb when it was backing up. I’ve never ever had FSD back up this far during a destination park… it only stopped after I hit the brake once we hit the curb.

@ChuckCook @Josh143574359 @DevinOlsenn @Tesla_AI It feels like an L , it admits interventions are still common enough to track and gamify. If the software nailed navigation/speed/edge cases, most drives would be long boring streaks. The variation is what makes it interesting, which highlights the remaining issues.

@Josh143574359 @DevinOlsenn @StantonJenkinsX @Tesla_AI I don't feel quite the same way on this one. As I am over 99% on my cyber truck, but I intervene often when necessary, but I'm able to immediately reengage after the situation has cleared having FSD engaged is the safer action.

@ChuckCook The time/miles between interventions is on @Tesla_AI not on the user. It’s a reversal of responsibility. Losing a streak because FSD insists on speeding or missing exits is a failure of the system, not the user. Most of us love FSD and would prefer not to have to intervene.

@ChuckCook 100%. Users will put up poor routing/parking/performance just to keep a streak. In turn, Tesla gets less disengagement feedback. They need to lean into the issues with FSD to improve quickly instead of convincing people that 100% FSD usage means autonomy has been solved.

I haven't been able to drive the new software FSD v14.3.3 yet as I'm going to work for a few days. After reading the release notes I want to say something about the gamification of FSD intervention free streaks. In my opinion, this incentivizes not disengaging when it might be necessary. Keeping an intervention free streak going is not important. Driving safely is the most important. We are still supervising these vehicles. I implore everyone to not let this display, or keeping a streak alive push you into making a bad decision. Take care of yourself and those around you. Supervise safely.

@BLKMDL3 Will accelerator taps count? 🤔 I will have 0 mile streaks with current stop sign behavior. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

With FSD v14.3.3, you can now see distance traveled between interventions and it will show you the intervention free streak.

Why is everybody on this app that likes Tesla so stubborn? The BYD stunt was not about a car driving on 3 wheels - it was showing amazing control of suspension. Even though the new Model 3/Y have better suspension it's still not good - so I would love if a Tesla had the ability to drive on 3 wheels. And you would too. Get over it.
