@KagutaMuseveni A very productive engagement with the World Bank team. Strengthening partnerships in infrastructure and agriculture is exactly what Uganda needs to accelerate industrialization and job creation.

Today, I met the World Bank team led by Mr. Qimiao Fan, the Division Director for Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia & Uganda and the Country Manager, Francisca Ayodeji Akala at State Lodge Nakasero. I welcome their support for the SGR and agricultural industrialization. Railways, electricity, and affordable financing are key to lowering production costs.
The World Bank are now becoming Christians, by promoting global affluence & prosperity for everyone in the world.

@HEBobiwine It’s hypocritical for you to scream “persecution” while constantly inciting unrest and misleading the public. Uganda is governed by laws—not social media emotions—and anyone with a case to answer must face the proper authorities.

Mr. Arnold Mukose, a journalist with the Alternative Digitalk media, was abducted two days ago after concluding a talkshow. Yesterday, the military also attempted to abduct Digitalk's proprietor, Norman Tumuhimbise, when they raided his home. The whereabouts of Arnold, and the justification for these actions, are currently unknown. We demand that the regime respect Arnold's rights by either setting him free or allowing him the due process of law if he committed any crime. The persecution of citizens because of their opinions MUST STOP!

It was a pleasure meeting with @RepGregoryMeeks, Ranking member of the @HouseForeign and senior member of the @USHouseFSC.
Our shared vision of advancing democratic principles and upholding human rights will only be achieved by holding repressive regimes accountable.

@Smith_JeffreyT @HEBobiwine @Peterclottey That claim is outright misleading. U.S. support to Uganda is largely directed toward health, development, and regional security—not “funding oppression.” It has helped fight HIV/AIDS, strengthen institutions, and stabilize the region.
English

A fired up @HEBobiwine tells @Peterclottey how the Museveni dictatorship in #Uganda uses the $1 billion it receives annually from the U.S. to violently repress the democratic aspirations of its citizens. “Our demand is to stop funding our oppression.”

@Smith_JeffreyT @CdeLENIN Typical hypocrisy from U.S. politicians who pick and choose when to care about democracy. Uganda’s stability and progress under President Museveni are visible to anyone paying attention—growing infrastructure, regional security leadership, and economic resilience.

"U.S. officials have condemned the suppression of opposition and called for accountability in the wake of Museveni's disputed seventh term, with some lawmakers calling for a review of security aid."

@KagutaMuseveni This is a well-balanced roadmap—investing in teachers, security personnel, and key regions like Teso, Lango, and Acholi shows a commitment to inclusive development. Uganda is steadily moving forward under focused guidance. 👏

This afternoon, I met the NRM Parliamentary Caucus at State House, Entebbe, and guided them on the FY 2026/2027 budget priorities and the importance of the Protection of Sovereignty Bill, 2025.
We agreed to prioritize peace and security, roads, electricity, the railway, scientific innovation, preparations for AFCON 2027, restocking in Teso, Lango and Acholi, and salary enhancement for teachers, TVET staff and security personnel to support Uganda’s socio-economic transformation and safeguard our national interests.
