Humans are returning to the Moon for the first time in 54 years exactly one week from today. This is not being talked about enough.

@CollinRugg That has to be one of the worst attempts at a shakedown I’ve ever seen. To do that and think getting a smack in the mouth wasn’t the very least you deserved is pretty incredible.

JUST IN: Brentwood Police say 'Reacher' star Alan Ritchson acted in self-defense, say no charges will be filed. The development comes as new footage appears to show Ritchson's neighbor blocking the road while he was on his motorcycle. "After reviewing available evidence, including video footage and witness statements, authorities determined that no criminal charges will be pursued," said the Brentwood Police Department. "Mr. Ritchson’s actions were found to be in self-defense." "Although a potential reckless endangerment charge was considered, Mr. Ritchson declined to pursue charges." The case has been closed.

@JamesLucasIT Not 100% sure on the timing, but was prohibition still in effect? Whilst there were places alcohol could be purchased consumption was significantly less per capita than today.

BREAKING NEWS! As chair of Sheffield Theatres we are delighted that the World Snooker Championships are staying in Sheffield - at The Crucible - until at least 2045! This is a big deal which is worth millions of pounds to the city but also enables us to revamp The Crucible, make it even more special, bring it right up to date and secure it for generations to come. The cost of the project is £45,000,000 and we have secured £35,000,000 worth of government funding and the other 10 is coming from the private sector and some of our partners. A lot of people have worked really hard to get this deal over the line and the city council have put the hours in. We know there are understandable questions about closing The Crucible for a projected 18 months and we will answer all of those. I should say that Sheffield Theatres will keep producing work in the Lyceum and the Montgomery while the Crucible is getting refurbished with capacity for an extra 500 seats. We feel that the benefits of this deal give us the chance to secure a sporting and theatrical legacy for Sheffield. This is a HUGE moment for the city but it is also significant for the arts in north of England and the whole of the UK. @crucibletheatre @SheffCouncil

Today is the 33rd anniversary of the day the IRA bombed Warrington town centre and killed my son Tim and 3 yr old Johnathan Ball. Words can never describe how losing a child leaves a huge hole in your heart and your family. Eternal love Tim ❤️❤️

This is MMA fighter Sean McInnes. When Anne Marie Boyle asked him to leave her alone, he punched her in the face so hard that he broke her cheekbone and her eye socket, knocked her unconscious, and left her with a life-altering brain injury. He was given less than two years behind bars. It would be a real shame if this post was widely circulated and impacted his career in a negative way.

@fesshole I hope you see this. Just competing in a sport, at international level, is an amazing achievement. You should be incredibly proud of even being selected. Well done. Congratulations.

I once finished fourth at the Commonwealth Games. I was fucking proud of what I did but the reaction of friends has always been either pity or mocking for missing out on a medal. What's your greatest life achievement Dave? Middle management at B&Q?

@notsosexintheci I remember when 081 811 8181, became 0181 811 8181. And then they changed the numbers again to 0207/0208.

@SartorialThug @fcmad1960 Surely him getting a shoeing from a Stone Island clad terrace warrior should be seen as collateral damage and an acceptable sacrifice to improve the image of Forest?

I still say they should get rid of penalty shootouts in football and just have the hardest player from each side have a square go in the centre circle. *Unless Forest win

@fesshole This is what separates a lot of those who play professionally from those that don’t. It’s not the footballing skill aspect, it’s the mental aspect. And luck, an absolute ton of luck.

I was very good at football as a kid but hated the game and the people playing it, so never pursued it. Just learned a friend who I was easily better than is earning £35,000 per month. I do wonder if I was a little hasty back then. My lower tier admin job doesn't quite pay that.
